Re: 2015 Wells Gun Show

I like the Well's show and have been taking the drive from near Rochester for several years. It's true that if you are a hard core, firearms-only enthusiast you probably won't be impressed but I like the diversity of stuff there. It's a very family friendly event too and there is something for every...

Re: Fun PBS Gun Poll

I voted also. I hope pbs doesn't lock or remove the comments just because they overwhelmingly don't agree with their agenda.

Re: Doctors Asking Parents about gun ownership

And no matter who is right about the semantics of what is actually happening, it cannot be denied that willingly giving out info about gun possession has a high chance of coming back to bite you in the future. There is absolutely zero reason to provide the info (no possible way for it to help you) ...

Re: New York flags 278 gun owners as mentally unstable

I think if the guns were not used in a crime but the owner is no longer allowed to possess them the owner should either be reimbursed or allowed to transfer ownership to an eligible friend or family member. If no eligible person will accept the firearms then maybe allow them to sell back to a gun sh...

Re: “it really is to protect the children.”

I don't understand how that Principal could ever think that was a good idea. What's just as bad is that the Police and other administrators must have also thought it was a good idea to be involved with. Lack of good judgment by so many people. Drills are one thing, this was so far beyond reasonable ...

Re: Officer Warns Ferguson ‘If You Do Not Have a Gun, Get One’

I could be wrong and probably am but I thought the role of the police was to enforce the laws after they were broken not to protect citizens in prevention of a crime. Sure they do a lot in the interest of public safety such as education and awareness but when it comes right down to it I would not as...

Re: I have a brilliant idea!

I like that idea! Maybe even a "ASPCA" special edition with a picture of a kitten on the receiver and a portion of the sale goes to animal shelters. How could they outlaw that?!?!?!?

Re: Remington 700 recoil pad melting

Thanks for the heads-up. I put a limbsaver on my 870 slug gun for padding but also to increase length of pull for a better fit. It's a nice pad and works great and I haven't noticed any issues with the rubber but I'll check.

Re: Coroner's gun auction

I wouldn't have a problem with the history of the firearm. My problem is why the county was allowed to keep these firearms and property if they were not used in a crime? If they were involved in a suicide shouldn't the firearm go back to the estate or heir?

Re: Unsuccessful hunter steals deer

I've heard of idiots finding a fresh deer kill in the woods and tagging it before the real shooter finds it but never stealing a hanging deer.

Re: We've All Done It

I've sold/traded guns just to try something new and my only regret is selling a Colt Goldcup Natl Match. I bought it right and after a few years and several hundred rounds sold it for double the money allowing me to purchase two new pistols. Don't have them any more either but I sure wish I had that...
