Re: Made 'down-payment' & then the price changed

I'm in sales, although not firearms, and I can understand how that mistake can happen. In my opinion, they should be happy that at least they didn't quote it below cost! They need to chalk it up to a learning experience and honor their price. Even if they have to lose a reasonable amount of money on...

Re: .357 for deer?

I've carried a 357 loaded with hydrashocks for years while deer hunting and so far I could have just been loading blanks in it and it would do me just as much good...... :) Actually, I have used it to dispatch a couple of wounded deer with much success but wadcutters would have worked on them so I c...

bipod mount

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a bipod mount that attaches to the bayonet lug of an AR15? I don't own any guns but if I ever did have an AR15 with M4 type upper and standard short handguard I think I would want the bipod as far forward as possible. I've seen the sling swivel/bipod adapters that go...

Re: Minnesota's Newest Gun Shop

They're in Isle but they don't give the actual address, just directions how to get there. I go by there on my way up fishing and will definately stop by and check it out sometime!

Cabelas scopes

Looking for a reasonable priced (<$300 or so) scope for my AR and saw the Cabela's Pine Ridge Tactical scopes for $180 and thought I would toss it out and see if anybody had any experience or opinions on them. I'd be looking at the 3-12x40 or 6-18x40 Tactical Turret model. I've got a Pine Ridge 3...

Re: AR accuracy

Thanks guys! That's great information and really helps. It also opens up my options a lot. Another question that leads me to then is when adding optics would I be better off topping off an A3 type upper (flat-top) so that the line of site would be closer to the barrel (less paralax effect??) than at...

Re: AR accuracy

I was looking to complete my AR build with a 20" A3 type upper thinking that it would be more accurate than the 16"ers but not as heavy as the 24"ers. It sounds like those 16's are pretty darn good. Anybody have any thoughts regarding the 16 vs 20? I'd mostly just use it for target sh...

Re: .17 HMR Rifles ...A Few Questions

I shot a friends savage .17 topped with a 4-10x scope and I want one! Took it to a sand pit and stepped off about 100 yards, laid in across the hood of his truck and was punching close to 1" groups with a couple holes touching. Weather was calm and I'm sure with a cross wind it would drift a lo...

Re: The Venerable Ruger 10/22

I got my deluxe model 10/22 back in the 80's. I put in a better trigger group I found at Cabela's one time and topped it with a nice Bushnel scope for rimfires and it's a great shooter. I can routinely hit 2" targets at 100 yards with cheap ammo. I want to add a bolt action rimfire and can't de...

Re: Obama to Seek New Assault Weapons Ban

I really like the ban on large magazines, threaded barrels, and bayonet lugs. I just can't count how many news stories I see of criminals using bayonets, or how much safer we all are because the criminals could only get 10rnd mags instead of 20rnd....
