Re: Any ideas for geese hunting locations?

Or if you don't mind the drive come down to Silver Lake Park in Rochester with some day old bread and lead them right into your back seat....

Re: Gun clubs expand with growing number of high school trap sho

My son is got involved in the Spring league and is now finishing up the Fall league. I am so excited that he and others from our school, boys and girls, have the opportunity to be involved in this sport. Our team raises funds through selling NWTF and PF banquet tickets and helping out the local Lion...

Re: Stewartville man cited for school carry

Sounds like he is either really stupid or was trying to get arrested.

Re: To HELL with the Police, Let's Militarize SCHOOLS!!!

Yeah but it's not what it looks like, they need that to carry the med kits and teddy bears for the kids. I don't know what's more disturbing, that a school needs one of these or that it's not being used to protect our troops.

Re: Driver who displayed the handgun was an agent for the ATF

I wonder what credentials would make it okay to wave a firearm at another driver. I bet his supervisors phone is going to be very busy over the next few days...

Re: Clay target shooting new high school sport in Northfield

My son is involved in the HS trap league this year and absolutely loves it. I was talking to one of the teams organizers about what a great way to get young people involved in the shooting sports and expose non-hunters to firearms. I see this as a huge win for the kids and a huge win for the shootin...

Re: From the NRA-ILA - HF1944 / SF1915

So in other words they want to suppress the first amendment so it's easier to kill the second amendment

Re: Restore a old Stevens 22 or sell ?

You should keep it even if you don't restore it but how fun that could be as a shooter if you did fix it up! I recall seeing an old beat up 870 in the used rack at GM in Rochester a couple years ago and on the butt stock was engraved something like "To Billy from Grandpa" and I couldn't un...

Re: Permit to Purchase Question

I think the legal requirements have been clearly answered so I'll offer my opinion to your question about what others feel comfortable doing. As a buyer I'm in the camp that would not want my DL and PTC copied or recorded in any way for the sellers records. I would prefer no records at all but I'm o...

Re: Rochester MWCA show - Jan. 18-19

I'll probably go. Haven't bought much at gun shows for a while but I still go for the chance to see something new or old or different. I guess as a gun enthusiast it's pretty cheap entertainment. I like the opportunity to handle such a wide variety of guns without having to ask someone to pull it ou...

Re: What'd you take deer hunting this year?

I'm in shotgun zone so I use a trusty 870 Wingmaster 12GA with scoped rifled barrel and a S&W 686 backup just because. So far this year I could just as well carry a slingshot as all the deer around me must be hiding in the corn fields during the day.

Re: Want to build an AR

I would recommend you check out the Brownell's web site and they've got a ton of videos on how to build an AR step by step. That's a good place to start.

Re: Buying my first home protection weapon

I'll also toss in my recommendation for the pump action 20ga shotgun for your situation. It's a relatively inexpensive firearm and ammunition so won't cost a lot to practice and train with. Low recoil so easy to handle for an inexperienced or infrequent shooter. Easy to load and understand functioni...
