Re: Reloading for a 9mm caliber rifle

Each gun is different. Start with good quality bullets and some ball powder and you should be fine. I like 231 for pistols but many others will work.

Re: Shipping a scope for warranty repairs.

I wouldn't worry scopes are pretty rugged. Just put something in the box to pad it. Otherwise take it to a FexEx Kinko's or UPS store and let them deal with it.

Re: Large bore suppressor

INOR wrote:I know nothing about suppressors. Is it a $200 stamp for every suppressor you get or do you just have to have ome stamp to buy multiple suppressors?

Per NFA item. Each suppressor, each SBR, each SBS etc. Unless you have an FFL :D

Re: Large bore suppressor

Tractor oil or fuel filter plus adapter. Not legal but I've seen it done. Replace filter after low mileage. Just kidding. Legal provided it has been registered as a silencer. I know at least one company sells them this way. I've thought about trying it since it doesn't cost me anything. H...

Re: Large bore suppressor

I have all the sandman's. I honestly haven't shot my S much. My L on a 300 win mag is pretty darn quiet. I'd get anther Sandman before getting a different brand 338 suppressor. I think dead air is a solid brand. I'd consider the K and S more of a hunting/tactical type can and not super quiet if that...

Re: Gun store owners, please train your staff.

I would not expect any gun shop employee to know anything about antique firearms. It's hard enough keeping up with modern calibers. I expect most gun store employees to know enough about modern guns to sell you a gun, that's it. They should not be asked any questions such as this. Even if they had a...

Re: 45-70 Reloads

Pretty much all of the loads are going to have a lot of space. I haven't used 2400 so I can't coment on that powder in particular. Just go by the book and you should be fine. Or try a more appropriate powder for that caliber.

Re: every step forward seems to get a step or two backwards

It would be a lot easier to get a gun and file the serial number off than to buy a computer and 3D printer then learn how to print parts. I don't get what people are so worked up about. People have been making guns at home for decades. Not to mention most 3D printed guns are completely impractical w...

Re: Breaking News: ATF Is Classifying .50 Cal Bolt Action AR Upp

Is this really that shocking? If you try to buy a stripped bolt action receiver from Brownells it is considered the firearm and must go through an FFL. Because a bolt action may be fired without the stock, the trigger is integral to the barreled action. An AR15 may not be fired without a lower, the...

Re: Breaking News: ATF Is Classifying .50 Cal Bolt Action AR Upp

Makes sense to me. A bolt action receiver is the firearm. Not he wood, plastic, chassis stock. The lower in this case is akin to the stock on a traditional bolt action firearm. The "upper" is a bolt action receiver. Can you take a bolt action AR type upper and use it as the basis of a fir...

Re: Favorite 9mm suppressor host, and can we meet at a range

I have a Gemtec GM9. It's pretty loud with supersonic. I just can't get excited about can's on pistols anymore. Rifles - I'm all about it, pistols not so much. Why would you shoot super 9mm through a suppressed host, when you can use subs. Honestly suppressed rifles don't do it for me, because anyt...
