On the big heavy boned critters I have had great success with the 338 win mag. My friends in Alaska also use the 375 H&H. The game and fish guys up there use that also. I really like the 338 as it has a wide range of bullet weights. It has served me well.

+1 on the Morris shoots, it is a ball and the gang down there do a great job. Ton's of fun!!

Howdy and welcome from the central part of the state. I f you are close to Morris look up the rifle club there, they put on a real good action pistol shoot once a month if that is an interest of yours. A bunch goes down that way from here....a fun day!!

I shoot 70 gr Nosler BT with a load of 4064 and it is mild and very accurate. Check the loading books and start having some fun.
