Re: GOCRA/MNGOPAC/MN GUN OWNERS CAUCUS

Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance (GOCRA), founded by Professor Joseph E, Olson and David M. Gross, has been around for 27 years , since 1989, and has been largely responsible for most of the gun rights in Minnesota many take for granted today, including our shall-issue carry law -- the Minnesota Cit...

Re: Dakota Silencer free trust?

Just for the record, Bryan is correct. Although he has long been a generous contributor of both time and money to GOCRA, Jeff Shuberg would be the first to tell you that his opinions are his own. Exactly two people are authorized to speak on behalf of GOCRA: its president (hi there!), and Professor ...

Re: Unsigned letter about GOCRA?

The short version: Hackers illegally accessed some GOCRA donor name and address records. There's no financial risk, and we're locking things down even tighter. If your data may have been accessed, we've already sent you an email. The long version is below: It doesn't matter whether you're Target Co...

Re: Suppressor, Second Amendment bills hearing scheduled!

Ask anyone that knows IT that you trust, since you don't know me, and ask them about the dangers of facebook. It may shock you. Have removed so many viruses on many computers because of that worthless site. Don't take my word on it. Do your own research. The truth will set you free! I work in IT an...

Re: Letter and response from Representative about suppressors

There will be a suppressor bill this year, and GOCRA will be throwing our full weight behind getting it passed. We have a bill drafted, and we're finalizing authors now.

Re: This disappoints me

http://gocra.org/images/gocra_letterhead_email.png Suppressor legalization is a priority for GOCRA -- and for me. I have significant hearing loss in my right ear (not from shooting) and IT SUCKS. There is no earthly reason that we should be forced to sacrifice our hearing to protect our...

Re: GOCRA OK with Gun Restrictions Bill

So if Bob later moves in with (due to marriage, cohabitation, etc.) Jane (or a friend, or one of his adult kids who agrees to take him in while looking for a place to stay) who legally owns firearms, maybe even has a carry permit, loses the right to possess firearms as well? Because of something a ...

Re: GOCRA OK with Gun Restrictions Bill

This is a confusing, convoluted area of law. Unfortunately, this has led to a lot of confusion. The bill, as delivered to the Minnesota DFL by the New York City billionaire Michael Bloomberg's Minnesota lackeys, was a huge turd. Rep. Schoen and House leadership, thankfully, weren't prepared to simpl...

Re: From the NRA-ILA - HF1944 / SF1915

We have been watching this one. Our bipartisan team of allies in the House have it covered.

This bill is actually just a placeholder for the actual bill, which will not contain the infringements.

We will be there to make sure that everything goes as planned.

Re: Politics and the 2nd Amendment

FarmerJ is unhappy that the gun rights community was not willing to fight his personal legal battle, which was a lot more complicated than he makes it sound, and now he crashes every thread about GOCRA.

Sorry, sir, that we couldn't be your personal legal fund.

Re: Politics and the 2nd Amendment

Oh please. I have reached out multiple times to GOCRA about volunteering. I'm opening a new business and my time is valuable (and not always my own), but I was still interested in making sacrifices for the greater good. GOCRA must have all the help they need, because I haven't heard back from them....
