Re: SAR K2P

The response is decidedly tilteted, with"the pricey SAR about $350 and the 9mmfor a trivial, almost embarrassing $250.

Re: CMP 1911 Information

While there are stories about various treasures coming out of the CMP vaults, the concept of a brand new design with NO BARREL TWIST seems like and ill-advised attempt to date Big-Dogs sister sight unseen, and no thank you very much...

Re: SAR K2P

The K2P is the only gun cheaper in CDNN than the SAR K2, and AFAIK it's a good quality 9mm with a price that is unbeatable.

Re: lost post

If it was me, that would have been my 9x25 SSX Wildcat. ( SSX = Seismic Sam Xpress ) You start with 6.8 SPC rifle brass, cut it down to length, then ream the case mouth to give a .011" thickness, and do a final form with a 9x25 Dillon size die. The 6.8 SPC is good for 55,000 PSI, and with Horna...

Re: Can a VP9SK handle 150 grain Federal HST 9mm?

Well, I might as well wander around in here in my old red long johns that I sleep in, and since I feel a draft back there, I think the back flap is open!! This one's for you, Scratch!! While I'm sure Federal wouldn't try and cut corners on their designs, the 9mm, which originated in 1902, was design...

Re: Where is the Rum River Shooting Berms?

I think you have been told a tall tale. I've never heard of them before either, and I lived in Minnesota 66 years.

Re: Glock 35 (in a .40) 'stings' the hand- That normal?

Bergie wrote:Atomic- thanks for the advice- I'll take her out to the range again and really focus on any slop in my grip. My paws are pretty big, so maybe I should go to the widest back-strap for the gun. (?)

Distributing the same force over a wider area is always a good plan....

Re: Complete Grendel Uppers

Well, might as well jump in with my usual timeless wisdom every time somebody starts up a 6.5 Grendel thread, and mention that I prefer the 6.5 Hansel instead of the Grendel.....   [trombones] WAH! WAH! WAH! [/trombones]

Re: Glock 35 (in a .40) 'stings' the hand- That normal?

It sure as hell isn't the nature of the round. They don't call it the 40 Short and Weak for nothing, and putting a 180 grain bullet downrange at 985 FPS is downright uninspiring compared to putting a 10mm 200 grain bullet downrange at 1200 FPS!!   Due to the fact that it...
