Re: Just Purchased a Ruger SP101 .357 mag for the wife

Where did you get your grips from? That'll make it even more fun for her to shoot with .38sp . I said to her "you need to go to the range with me at least twice a month" and she said "We should go once a week!)   I believe I got them at Sportsman's Warehou...

Re: Just Purchased a Ruger SP101 .357 mag for the wife

As everybody knows, I like mine. Some people feel the stock grips are OK for shooting Magnums, but those people are tougher than me. I got the Hogue Monogrips for my SP101 (and my GP100)

Re: Buying My First Revolver

Wow! I can't believe how fast some of you reply! You'd almost think that some people here have no lives. Plus, you probably don't appreciate how cool it is any time a girl joins in, unless you were in the chess club in high school. :) Let me second what Motobob said. I carry a spurless .357 SP101 a...

Re: Steel Shoot Results

I will lend you my compact next time so you have an edge in the Man V Man ;) Heck, Pat, I'll lend you my comp gun. The one I'm using, even. That ought to be enough of an edge to beat me. :D :D :D Oh, you guys just don't want to get beat by the wheelgun. (Actually I suspect that China might beat me ...

Re: Steel Shoot Results

I was only mildly disappointed that China is not the teenage Asian mail-order bride I imagined.;) That could cost ya, buddy...we can drag out the "special" pepper popper just for you next time :D :D :D :) I think you humiliated me enough already on the Man v. (Wo)Man. But maybe I'll order...

Re: Steel Shoot Results

It was good meeting a few of the guys. I found out that we have a couple who can really shoot! And, it turns out, Pat Cannon is not nearly as scary looking as I had envisioned! Why, thank you... I think. This is one of the things I like about these these deals too, like in Cokato I learned the Fame...

Re: Steel Shoot Results

My thanks, too, to Benny & China! Also to everybody else who showed up early to help set up for us lazy bums. Hopefully I can be more helpful next time, now that I know how long it really takes me to get there.

Brit, I wore my glasses; it takes more than that. :)

Re: Advice from Ted, For Obama & Hilary

Wow. I want Ted to register as a Democrat and run for President, just so I can see him debate Barack and Hillary on TV.

Re: Congratulations Cobb!

Sure his times are good, but he pays attention to the walk-through and plans a strategy for each stage. If you ask me that's cheating. ;)

Re: Weather and Beaverbrook?

I can't speak for Twin Cities IDPA, but in the five or six years I've been shooting IDPA down in Faribault I've never aborted the trip due to weather. Only once was it ever canceled; that was a due to an absolute monsoon. Other than that, it was very much 'rain or shine'. Of course maybe this club a...

Oakdale does IPSC (Ok, USPSA  ) not IDPA

I stand corrected. USPSA sounds cool too, but I can't afford that much ammo. :)
