Re: Legal way to kill squirrels in City of Mpls Advice please :)

On second thought, I think maybe you should call on a couple of big game hunters... http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/116/deadsqurriel.jpg Too bad they're ready for those guys: http://www.guzer.com/pictures/soldier_squirrel.jpg http://www.fugly.com/media/IMA...

Man with loaded Glock boards plane despite TSA screening

Man passes through TSA security with loaded gun in carry-on bag, boards plane. 1 , 2 , 3 . HOUSTON (KTRK) -- TSA checkpoints at airports are at the front lines of preventing terrorism. When you go through security, you expect to be scanned and searched. And you expect TSA to prevent contraband from...

Re: Who does cheapest transfers?

Cheapest I've found: R. H. Kay Firearms Burnsville, MN 55337 ^Yep, this is the Rick Kay guy I was talking about. I've done a couple transfers through him. He's decent to deal with, though he may try to sell you something instead of you finding an auction and bidding on it. Since you've already made...

Re: gun storage at a shooting range?

Yeah, I'm with Seismic Sam on this one. There's something about this post that doesn't pass the sniff test. Whether the whole thing is fabricated or whether the OP is just holding back on some things I can't tell for sure, but the more I think about it the more it feels like we're being snowed here.

Re: gun storage at a shooting range?

The terms are unreasonable. If I were in your situation, keeping the gun in the house would have been part of the deal from the outset. You need to be able to shoot it on a regular basis to stay familiar with its operation. You need to be able to clean it and maintain it regularly too. Where you're ...

Re: Creative ways to fund the sickness

WHen I got married, I started a policy of a man account. Every pay check gets a little bit, like 5% which goes to buying the wife presents, me presents, beer's with the boys, etc. that way, my fun stuff never hampers the families finances. This is brilliant! I was going to recommend selling your pl...

Hearing Protection?

I ran this by a couple people at the OCB, but I wanted to get some more input. What do you all like as far as electronic muffs and/or ear buds? The video on the Pro Ears site looks pretty convincing (Pro Ears shown @ 2:56): If anyone uses these, does the video seem like an honest representation of t...

Re: Announcing!!! The fourth EFFEN Saturday in September!!!

mnglocker brought me to the last one and I had a good time, so I'll be there again for this one. I have to make it to the Gopher football game though, so I don't know how long I'll be able to hang out.

Re: Burning Koran In Florida

Yeah this is a non-issue. I cook my morning bacon over a Qur'an fire every day. I also throw the Tanakh, several translations of the Bible, Mahabharata, into the mix. I sacrifice a goat over the whole mess and scrawl a pentagram on the floor with its blood and make charcoal out of its bones with whi...

Re: A somber revelation - I killed a baby deer last year

When I was younger I had a couple spine shots that I had to coup de gras with a knife to the throat...and it's a lot tougher than it sounds with the fir in the way, you have to punch it in rather than slice. A couple experiences like that and you will hit the range more and look for the heart shot....
