Re: FS2000 vs AR, any thoughts?

http://www.impactguns.com/store/media/fn/fn_3830000000.jpg I was looking at the CDNN catalog and they have these FS2000 for around $1400. Now these look awesome, and according to reviews they are fun to shoot, ect. I am looking to get my first battle rifle. I want something that I c...

Re: Today i shot A.....

Double action is never an improvement. ;) And judging from seeing some of you guys shoot, single action ain't any better. Quit bitching about what gun is best and work on the important stuff. Like hitting what you are shooting at. That would be a great start. And FYI most people who are just starti...

Re: Today i shot A.....

Double action is never an improvement. ;) USP. Load, apply safety, place in holster. You can also buy the version that has no decocker, but I have never used mine. It is my favorite choice in combat tupperware. Fair enough, but my other reason for disliking HK pistols is that the bore axis is too h...

Re: AR question - carbine vs midlength gas system w/ 16" barrel?

Carbines are common because people like guns that looks like M4s, and because companies have a lot of the supplies for these guns, i.e. barrels, handguards, gas tubes, etc. The 7" gas system was designed for an 11.5" bbl, there is no benefit to it over the midlength when used on a 16"...

Re: M1A or AR based .308?

The best all-around .308 semi-auto on the market at the moment is the KAC SR25 EMC. It's usable out to 1000 yds if the shooter is up to it, even with a 16" bbl. It's extremely reliable, and it only weighs 8.2lbs (less than a lot of peoples AR15 setups). It's also $5200. Weight, speed of control...

Re: Looking for some 1911 advice

Smith & Wesson E Series or Springfield Loaded in that price range for a good out-of-the box gun. Springfield GI if you want to build it up. Springfield TRP or Kimber Warrior if you want to spend a little more. Les Baer TRS (or current equivalent) for the most affordable 1911 that you will never ...

Re: Deciding between two Springfield 1911's for Carry

As stated above, target sights are for the range, not carry. As a general rule, I don't trust 3" 1911s, but I've heard good things about the EMP. It certainly feels nice. I carry a 4" Wilson CQB compact when I'm dressed lightly, and I have no problem concealing a full-size Les Baer TRS whe...

Re: magnum Reasearch Desert Eagle 1911 I want I want

If its anything like a Kimber it should cost "considerably less". The best buy out there in 1911's is a SIG , dude. Fixed that for you :D I too dislike Kimbers, are they total crap? Not at all, have they had issues? Yes, but so has just about every MFG. The thing that I think ruined Kimbe...

Re: Newly 21, whats a good caliber to conceal?

Concealment don't mean Jack Shyte in Minnesota where open carry is legal with a permit, so you're asking the wrong question to begin with. Just because it's legal doesn't mean everyone has to do it. If he wants to carry concealed (like most of us) that's his prerogative. It's not the wrong question...

Re: What gun would you give the police?

Sorry.. That's what I get for scimming over your post.... Welll, the P30 in .40 is what I had in mind, which is what I believe the M&P is a wannabe of. ETA: :picsneeded: Here's one with a safety, which is a good requirement as well, unless you're talking about 1911s. http://www.heckler-...

Re: The Big M4 Myth

I won't be buying a piston driven AR. Mine have all functioned flawlessly or nearly flawlessly. I don't have anything against pistons (beside the added weight), but only when it is implimented in a gun designed for the system. An AR is not.

Re: What cartridge is dead?

I really hope .45 GAP will die eventually, but I think it's going to limp on for a while. It's a pointless cartridge. It's marketing based on a number people like to hear, not actual innovation.
