Re: Cold Gun

Plug in the cord dangling out the front. Your Kimber will work better in cold weather, if you use the Glock heater...........

Re: Hunting "Steer"

No, wear the body armor, there are too many nuts out there with guns. ;) But a shotgun slug will take down that 1 ton bull, but the slug has to be place in a vitals area to get it's job done and not in the choice cut area. The underlying problem is the 10:1 body mass ratio of a steer vs. the normal...

Hunting "Steer"

What would you use to "hunt" a steer? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't start with buckshot. I don't think I would try the AR-15 or service pistol either unless I didn't have any real choice. Sound like a good way get his dander up. Roseville Review Tuesday, January 29, 2008 http://www.ro...

Re: Don't Blame Liberals for Gun Control

Monday, January 08, 2001 Those of us who cherish our Second Amendment rights are keeping our fingers crossed about George W. Bush. W sure didn't do us any favors... Conservatives (that's conservatives, not neo-cons, Republicans or RINOs) predicted that W wouldn't be doing us any favors, about 8 yea...

Re: Mosin-Nagant Bolts Coming Loose

First off I would like to apologize for whatever role I had in dragging Bullit's topic off-topic. I feel badly about it (but not really bad). Back to topic. Threaded fasteners that won't stay tight: -Bad design (can't do anything about that) -Loose tolerances or damaged threads (Are the screws corre...

Re: Mosin-Nagant Bolts Coming Loose

The Nylok nuts would be a good idea except that the bolts are not held with nuts. They screw directly into the barrel. Ahh... I see! Technically then, they would be screws and not bolts... but I suppose bringing that up would explain why engineers aren't invited to parties and have trouble getting ...

Re: recomendations for a petite female that likes .45

Well, this won't limit it to .45, but if she's willing to wait awhile, set her up to take the "Intro to Firearms for Women" class that Oakdale Gun Club puts on. It is an astonishingly good deal, and and on the range day there will be quite a wide assortment of firearms to try. Any idea wh...

The Police aren't Soliders.

Interesting article. http://munchkinwrangler.blogspot.com/2008/01/playing-seals-and-robbers.html "...The problem with that is that the mission of the soldier and that of the cop are fundamentally incompatible. The soldier is there to kill the enemy and break his stuff. The cop i...
