Re: Shopping for a subcompact

If you don't mind spending $1000, take a look at the Minnesota made Boberg XR9, or the soon to be released XR45.

Re: M&P9 shield

I have an SR9c and really like it as an all around home defense pistol - great trigger, ambi safety & mag release (I'm a lefty), and accurate to shoot. That said, I wouldn't want to carry it b/c it's a doublestack (personal pref). Therefore, I'd lean toward the Shield for carry simply because it...

Re: Boberg XR9-S First Production pistol to hit the street

I've never even held one of these things...... How does that transfer bar looking thing attached to the trigger effect the "feel" of the trigger pull? The trigger is very smooth and even, esp for a DAO pistol. The mfg says that the pull is 5.5lbs, which seems about right. Smoother than th...

Re: Just picked up my new Boberg XR9-S this morning

From that overlay, the grip angle and contour of the Boberg looks much more comfortable than the Rohrbaugh, but I couldn't swing the price for either one. No need for that SR9c now, let me know if you decide to sell it (seriously)!! ;) Love the SR9c, won't be getting rid of it anytime soon - though...

Re: Just picked up my new Boberg XR9-S this morning

Looks like one of those cigarette lighter guns. How much did it cost? The XR9s currently lists for $950 - less expensive than a Rohrbaugh R9, which is similar in size and quality. Plus, the XR9s barrel is almost 0.5" longer, AND has much less felt recoil. Sorry to sound like a used car salesma...

Just picked up my new Boberg XR9-S this morning

I just picked up my new XR9-S from Boberg Arms this morning - what a work of art! Fit and finish is perfect, as I knew it would be, and the trigger pull is the smoothest of any gun I own. The barrel length is about the same as my Ruger SR9c (3.35" vs 3.5"), but the Boberg is SO much smalle...

May 13 (Bloomberg) -- Elena Kagan said as a U.S. Supreme Court law clerk in 1987 that she was “not sympathetic” toward a man who contended that his constitutional rights were violated when he was convicted for carrying an unlicensed pistol. Re: Home Surveillance Camera Catches Prowler

I'm wondering how much "protection" the surveillance camera would have provided had the guy entered their home.
