Re: Your Opinions: Lessons learned from Zimmerman Trial

Jeff Cooper decscribed it as problem 1- surviving a shooting incident problem 2- surviving the legal aftermath The trick is to solve problem 1 in a way that makes it easier[ or at least possible] to solve problem 2. I think the real key here was both parties' status as a "reluctant participant'...

Re: Carrying&Camping Legal/Illegal

You seem to have federal and state parks confused. In Mn, with a permit to carry, it is legal to carry in state parks, including buildings. No need to inform anyone. Federal parks are subject to the state laws of the state they are in, with the additional rule of no carry in federal buildings, so ou...

Re: More Gander Gun Price Silliness

While I would not buy a new gun from them anymore [though a few years ago I got a Taurus .38 snubby for a great price]
you have to give Gander MT kudos for their support of Pheasants Forever, when you renew you get a $10, and a $20 gift card.

Re: IDPA Rules, Explained Humorously

But whatcha gonna do? The truly practical shooting sport I've imagined, where competitors stalk each other 24/7, people tell me has 'safety concerns'.[/quote]

Safety concerns, right........

Pat , you crack me up!

I'm only paranoid because everyone's against me!

Re: IDPA Rules, Explained Humorously

Goalie, where did you attend an IDPA match where you felt you were treated badly? I've encountered a few "range nazi's" but the vast majority of people were very welcoming. I think much ado about nothing is getting made of this reload issue, in IDPA there are 3 types of reloads -emergency ...

Re: IDPA Rules, Explained Humorously

That's my point, you can shoot the stage how you see fit with whatever your idea of proper tactical is, and just take a couple seconds of penalties, or you can "compete" , follow the rules and try to win the match. How could you have a timed competition without rules? It is a game, competi...

Re: Carver County Let Down!

I'm also dissappointed by the election of Olsen over Lee.
While I don't think Olsen is going to be anti-2nd A, he is just more of the same old , same old.
I was looking forward to some fresh leadership from Lee, I hope he runs again.

Re: For all of you Paupers who want to go to Frontsight

+1 on the quality of training!
Cobb and I went in 05 [4 day handgun] and the training was top notch!
There was a sales effort, but it was not high pressure.
[I DG'd the class btw :D ]

Re: So last night I told my girlfriend I want to get my PTC...

I also give couples discount
But also consider that some ladies would be more comfortable in a setting without their spouse
(as observed at women on target)
