Re: Best All-Around Outdoor Knife?

I don't have any experience with any of the knives others have already mentioned. I do have, what I have found to be a perfect outdoor knife. It is the Cliff knife made by Idaho knife works. http://www.idahoknifeworks.com/cliff.htm I have used this knife over the past eight years, if I recall correc...

New Sig P250

Check out the new Sig P250 at http://www.sigsauer.com/Default.aspx

A "modular" handgun. It looks really interesting and the price looks pretty good for a Sig. I am looking forward to trying one out.

Re: Pheasant Opener

Well, it wasn't exactly the pheasant opener, but... Three of us went to the southwestern part of the state and had a great time. We shot our limit Saturday, got four more Sunday before leaving for home and saw plenty more. :) I know one thing for sure, there is nothing like hunting with a good dog. ...

Re: Grouse Report: Mille Lacs WMA

We went out last Saturday south west of Cloquet. After four hours with a good dog we flushed one grouse. Last year when we hunted the same area we got our limit of grouse, shot woodcock and saw many more of each, so we were a little disappointed. This weekend we will be pheasant hunting in the Pipes...

Re: Just got me a new gun II

Congratulations on the new purchase. I bought an XD40sc last December. It is a fun gun to shoot and it conceals well.

Re: Dog shoots owner in back

It was obviously an EVIL handgun. And the poor dog is going to need therapy for which the owner should be held accoutable and be fixed, if he hasn't already........ :)

Re: Who hunts ? and what ?

Absolutely love Grouse hunting in the woods of norhtern Mn and WI with he help aof a well trained dog. Pheasant hunting in southwestern MN the last few years has been great also. We hunt public land, there is a lot available though it can get crowded when the weather is nice.

Re: XD40SC Problem

Yeah Brit the XD45 may be the next purchase. Although I am tending to lean towards a sig for the next gun. The XD40SC is a fun little gun to shoot, and it carries well. I looked for after market recoil spring assemblies but they don't appear to be available for the xd40sc yet. Well, maybe the next g...

XD40SC Problem

My XD40SC has been flawless. Then at about round 600 the recoil spring went bad. It obiously stretched out and enlarged in diameter and caused the slide to jam. I called Springfield, they sent a new one no questions asked and the gun has been working perfect for 100 rounds so far. I won't worry too ...
