Re: Process to apply for the Flordia C&C reciprocity

I have gotten the Florida non-resident permit at least twice now and had the fingerprint card kicked back using the electronic procedure. So, now I always have them take them the old fashioned way, with an ink pad. Works every time if you can find someone that will still even do it that way. I think...

Re: .32 S&W short

All interesting responses. I had no idea a lee die set might be available and at that reasonable price. As an afterthought (as most of my thoughts seem to be) I had to check and see what I needed for a shellplate for my 550B and sure enough, it is a "D" plate, which I don't have. I have be...

.32 S&W short

I am toying with the idea of reloading some S&W short and wondering if anyone has a die set they might no longer be using? I suspect that if a die set were available from a manufacturer for this cartridge it would be GOD awful expensive. Also, I wonder about a bullet mold for the 90 grain .32 bu...

Re: no more gunstop until john is back

That may well be. As I said, I've been off this site for awhile. Upon my return, on this subject at least , I found a number of comments which seemed to have an unneeded flavor of cruelty to them. I don't suffer that type of thing very well I guess and wanted to show John a little support. The first...

Re: no more gunstop until john is back

Nicely said indeed. And if that's the worst thing that happens to us in a day, then we should go buy a ticket.

Re: no more gunstop until john is back

I checked in on this site this morning for the first time in awhile and was wondering what was up with John Walton. I did get a feel for where he is now and noted the many comments about the John (Big John)who is covering for John W. while he recovers. I've been in to Gunstop a few times this year a...

Re: Hodgdon HS-6

Old Hunter: Astute observation. Yes you can get Universal all most anywhere. I had considered that and will certainly use that as a fallback option. The only thing keeping me from doing it out of hand is that the breech pressure utilizing Universal is 10,400 psi as opposed to the 9000 psi when using...

Re: Hodgdon HS-6

Gentlemen: I am most grateful for all your responses and will put some of your thoughts to use. SS: No worries. Interestingly, this is the second time in two weeks I've heard the comment about two sheets of sheet rock. Must be the latest thing and I'm out of the loop. I plan on following the powder ...

Re: Hodgdon HS-6

SS: Thank you for your response and concern. Yes, I do plan on using reloads for home defense. While I do not claim to be the master of reloading, I have been reloading shotshells for over 25 years. I would certainly be open to any inputs anyone has, always ready to learn etc. Please advise what you...

Hodgdon HS-6

Gentlemen and ladies: Recently I found a recipie for reloading #4 buckshot into Winchester AA hulls. I made a special purchase of the wads needed and then proceeded to search for the powder required, Hodgdon HS-6. Not realizing that this is a popular powder for handguns as well as shotshell reloadin...

Re: Reloading and airport security

I have deliberately shot just before going to check in to see if anything would register and never had a problem. I wouldn't know about my luggage being exposed to residue but I always check it. And it usually has ammo and a firearm in it so it should get flagged. Of course, it always get the specia...

Re: Aged Primers Bad?

I don't know too much about this but would there be a concern about depriming live primers? At this point, I would be more inclined to fire them off in the gun before "punching" them out. Looking for inputs here. Thanks.
