Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

That makes it sound like the board spends the club's money with a wink and nudge. Can any member see the actual budget? Any member of the club can ask to see the financial records. When I was a member (prior to being a board member), I made a request to the Treasurer (Bill, even back then) and he s...

Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

They took out a massive loan that they are still paying on The loan was well within the CLub's ability to manage through free cash flow at the time -- I'm not sure how that's evolved since I left the board. The loan and project were discussed in detail at a special member meeting of the club and we...

Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

If you want to replace the Board, you need to answer a couple of questions. ⋅  What is the current Board doing wrong? ⋅  What would you do different? Operate as a shooting club, as opposed to a member supported semi-commercial shooting range. I would recommend looking closely at...

Re: BREAKING: Trump Administration reopens closed Gun Ranges

Lets how many governors will speak against this and will not let them open up. To clarify, this is *guidance* - the states will decide what they want to go. They are not obligated to follow this guidance, but Gov Walz used the previous version of this guidance and incorporated into his executive or...

Correct, because they are specifically exempted under MN 624.7192 - or that was the Governor's office excuse anyways

Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

Ranges are not exempted from the Governor's order - just gun shops - that's why they have to close.

Re: Pelosi Security Points Gun at Trump Supporters

Do we really need sniper overwatch of normal daily activities like these though? And who does he work for? If Secret Service or some other agency assigned to protect congress folks then maybe. But if some type of private security then I have issues. I'd expect a sniper at an event where the preside...

Re: ACTION: MN Anti-Gun Legislation

Done here as well. I'm not sure how much good it will do with my useless "reps" (they never seem to represent me nor my wife). :badmood: Pressure has an impact - but if they're true believers it's unlikely to impact them. We peeled off 5 DFLers on these bills that wound up voting against ...
