Re: GOA or NRA?

I found a way to double my contribution to MN Gun Owners by using our corporate giving site to do a dollar amount through paycheck donation to the educational program and the company matches it because it is a recognized charity. I have no way of knowing if Brian actually gets the matching donation...

Sorry, didn't mean to leave them out. I think they're doing good work, particularly on the legal front. We're in discussions with them about some MN focused legal action.

Of course nothing on the website reflects this change, but I'm pretty sure.

Caucus is definitely an option there now!

Re: GOA or NRA?

The GOA has no presence in Minnesota and does not work on a state level here at all. Their abilities nationally aren't great. They do work quite well in Texas at a state level, but that has more to do with their state leader (Rachel Malone) than anything GOA itself is doing. A few years back when we...

Re: National gun registration bill

So, is there a list of GOOD/WORTHY gun organizations and a list if BAD/UNWORTHY gun organizations out there? Further to a theme I voiced a while back, is there any effort to unite the GOOD/WORTHY organizations into a coalition for a common purpose? If not, doesn't that tell you something about the ...

Re: National gun registration bill

This is intriguing: This organization is going over the top on social media warning of HR8, and using the hysteria for fundraising... This organization is running by the Dorr brothers who also run Minnesota Gun Rights - so yes, you can expect everything to be over the top and primarily for fundrais...

Re: Buffalo Shooting--Star Tribune

I should also mention in the Star Tribune article about the Buffalo shooting there was a ray of REAL common sense from Rob Doar. "Even in a perfect world, had all of the court orders been filled, had he had a red flag law, had he even turned in all his guns, he still would have been able to in...

Re: Rights restoration

I didn't think it was possible for someone convicted of a felony (and some lesser crimes) to have their gun rights restored except through a Presidential pardon which would only apply if a Federal crime. Has something changed lately? Minnesota and other states have provisions for the restoration of...

Re: Rights restoration

Hey i was wondering if anyone can help or refer a good lawyer/law firm. I have a friend That lost his gun rights when he was in his 20's over a bar room brawl. He was charged and convicted of a felony assault. Fast forward 15 years he's got two young boys that are getting to the age he'd like to ta...
