Re: Home gunsmithing gone wrong

I do wonder if, just maybe, she had some loose clothing pulled into the holster, and when she either moved her torso or gripped the pistol and pushed down slightly it discharged (I noticed her jersey was untucked and fairly loose in the video). Otherwise I don't see how this could have happened with...

Whaaat? No. Depending on circumstances, you could also stop an attacker with immobilization, sensory depravation, or pyschological trauma (fear or stress).

Re: Cor-Bon .40 S&W Case

The old Cor-Bon JHP +P load was 165gr at 1125 fps (464 ft/lbs) The new JHP SD ammo is not advertised as +P but is a 165gr at 1150 fps (485 ft/lbs) So figure that one out Buffalo Bore still calls their stuff 40SW +P http://static-cdn.ammunitiontogo.com/pimages/image/500x/262803e99b69a8e26...

Re: Filson Warranty

I buy Darn Tough socks for the same reason. When they get a hole (and it hasn't happened yet) I get a new pair. I don't think I'm taking advantage of the system because I'm paying two or three times what comparable socks cost.

Re: Sccy cpx-2 9mm. The good, and the bad.

The problems most people have are with the CPX-1 models (with manual safety). The thumb tends to sweep the safety on while shooting, which isn't a great thing. We've had good luck with the CPX-2 models.

Re: Transfers to a FFL

Try not to micromanage it, just a call letting them know is enough but really that isn't normally required as long as your name and phone number are with the gun. Let the seller call the FFL to get a copy of the license. Getting in the middle of that just slows down the process. Let the FFLs deal wi...

Re: Do all Hunting rig, $1000 budget.

Be warned on the Ruger American that it only has a two position safety. This is fine for hunting out of a stand, but if you intend to walk around in the brush there is a good chance you'll get that bolt thrown open in the safe position while walking around. Tikka T3 rifles are on sale in many places...

Did somebody just brag about owning a MK23 a/k/a one of the worst pistol ideas ever? Whoever sold him that thing must have been out of Hi-Points

I'm taking my clout off the table and calling it a night.
