Re: G26 vs G27

Several years ago I gave a lifelong friend my G26, and about a year or so ago we went to the range with the intention of discerning what, if any, difference there was recoil-wise between his G26 and my G27. He'd shoot a mag from the 26 and then a mag from the 27, I'd do the same, and we repeated the...

Re: MWCA Show this weekend

Thanks, mrokern! I'd never heard of Straight River Knife, Inc. before and I'll contact him and ask about his product lines and prices.

Cheers,

Re: MWCA Show this weekend

Greetings, everyone: Lately I've found myself accidently buying nicer pocket knives--nothing custom or anything like that. Having only been to one gun show several years ago (at the MPLS Convention Center, I believe), I'm wondering if this one has a good selection of new Benchmades, ZTs, Emersons, H...

Re: Comp-Tac MTAC or Galco Skyops for G27?

Thank you for the welcome! :P I haven't even been able to take it to the range yet. Having heard about reliability issues with 3" 1911s, I hope this one's OK. The model has received good reviews so far. And it's unlike anything I've had so far--like a gun with a metal receiver, and soul! The Gl...

Re: Comp-Tac MTAC or Galco Skyops for G27?

I am very grateful for your replies. As it turns out, I traded in the G27 and got a Colt New Agent instead. Dang, that thing seems nice--and not so bulky. I am a 1911 rookie.

Thanks again!

Comp-Tac MTAC or Galco Skyops for G27?

Greetings: I'm looking for a holster that will completely conceal a Glock 27 while wearing jeans and a tucked-in shirt. Putting it in the Smart Carry makes me cast a shadow, even though sadly there's not much competing with it for space. Given the thickness of the G27, perhaps there's no such ...

Re: Laser sights

Greetings: I'm probably showing my rookie idiocy here and invite refutation and/or ridicule, but I think of laser sights as a huge benefit to a carry gun and would not carry one without them. Of the brands available, I only like the ones that turn on when you grab the gun. Crimson Trace grips are by...

Re: Best option for weaponlight

Greetings: I got one of Glock's rail-mount lights (the one without the laser) for $69.99 at Gunstop. It holds two 123 3-volt batteries and you can adjust the beam, which is pretty dang bright but not of the same beam quality or intensity as one of Surefire's handhelds. I attach it for use only as a ...
