V-Line with simplex lock.

Fits an AR or shotgun. Works for me.

Re: Shotgun best for home defense.

Definitions matter. Define, clearly, what you mean by "best" and an answer becomes possible. I'd be fine with my 590, but my actual go-to is a 10.5" AR with a can. I was never in a gunfight wishing I had less ammo in my weapon, and capacity is king to me considering all the other vari...

Re: Silencer

I've shot several deer with 300BO using a suppressor. Legally. Subsonic ammo/loads or supersonic? Super. It gives you pretty much 30-30 performance and sounds like a 22lr rifle since it's supersonic. I don't want to see the deer of a lifetime presented at an angle requiring good performance at a ra...

Right scope for my Marlin 45-70 DNZ 1" Mount?

I use a fixed 2.5x Leupold FXII ultralight on mine, but use Talley Lightweights.

I'm thinking about going with a red dot though.

Re: How's The Deer hunting Going?

There is always the aftermath to deal with following a good shoot.................... Congrats...... Yeah, I've got three deer worth of backstraps cut into medallions and vacuum sealed. I've got a lot of quarters to bone out before sausage making commences. It's a good problem to have. Sen...

Gen 3 Micro Roni (G17/22)

$150 in SW suburbs. I put a rail on my PC Carbine for USPSA, don't need two 9mm "rifles" Red dot not included, or, $250 with Vortex Sparc AR https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201028/6766120fd0ed8ed70315903c410abd68.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201028/...

Boot camp shooting course?

There's the obstacle course and the confidence course.

They're different.

Just an FYI

Boot camp shooting course?

Pro tip:

In the Marines, we didn't do the O course with loaded rifles.

You can Google USMC obstacle course. There are plans out there. It wouldn't be cheap.

Need optic suggestions

I have Aimpoint pros on two of my "real" ARs.

They work.

Any Stock & Barrel club members?

Chanhassen member.

If you shoot 2+ times a month it's a great deal IMO, especially in the winter.

Granted, it takes me longer to load up the guns and ammo than it does to drive there, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Friend looking for a HD gun/first gun

I usually bring a decent selection.

Invariably, what the shooter likes to shoot isn't what the shooter liked BEFORE he/she shot them.

The PPS M2, GP100, SR9c, and VP9sk have been favorites among new shooters.
