Some people say the 223 has low stopping power, but that applies to FMJ/Nato not fragmenting at longer distances. I've seen the damage from TAP/A-max / ballistic tip, enough to ta...

Re: Bloomberg's Latest Sting

I was surprised to see they did post one deal where the buyer refused the sale:

I want to see a permit to purchase before selling, I don't want anything coming back to me.

Re: Hollywood street shooting

Rem700 wrote:What prevents the shooter from moving from the front of the vehicle to the side?

Maybe 50-100 yards with 25 yards stopping distance at 30mph.
Limited choices: Swerve, straight, or stop depending on traffic.

Re: Hollywood street shooting

Too many variable unless your there at the time who knows how one may react. Kinda like armchair quarterbacking. It may be simpler to think about a plan for just two options so whatever happens can be more of a semi-concious decision. I agree that stopping may be the wrong option if you don't have ...

Hollywood street shooting

This topic has come up during training a few times.
How quickly can you make the decision as a driver to stop and get low, or swerve away?

Which model did you get? http://www.fnhusa.com/le/products/firearms/family.asp?fid=FNF049&gid=FNG022 I looked into reloading and found good factory reloads for 175 or 180gr at the same price as reloading myself. http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/index.php/t-303068.html reduce loads from load bo...

Re: Driving with full magazine

I did not find any laws around ammunition, just that the firearm had to be unloaded. 624.714 Carrying Of Weapons Without Permit; Penalties. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/?id=624.714 Subd. 9 A permit to carry is not required of a person: (5) to transport a pistol in a motor vehicle, if the pist...

Re: Stun Guns

For stun guns, the current can be more important that the voltage. In other words, 50-100,000v should be plenty to penetrate clothing, and you want around 5mA (milli-amps) to really hurt (temporarily), so they let go in less than 1/2 Second. Re: Profiling stickers on your Car

The officer pulled Mr Baillio over for failing to signal a turn, so is the questioning profiling or precaution? Its not clear if the driver got out of the truck before being asked, that makes some people nervous. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_KgBT8kIRgBo/SkJafSw_smI/AAAAAAAAFg4/mw23sB13qTo/s1600/View-fr...

Re: I cant think of a good title...

I think every driver with a permit should be required to put that sticker on their car. I want to go home tonight at the end of my shift. Police dispatch CIS can already provide my Hazmat, DNR, snowmobile, and carry permit, based just on the license plate. I don't want another sticker, except to sh...
