Re: Possible Primer Problem?

and my favourite, no flash hole.  I'm trying to figure out in my mind just WTF all would happen in that scenario... Not much, other than blowing the primer out of the pocket. Thereby showing the lack of a flash hole. :D Happened to me (with S&B 9mm ammo) damn near 20 years ago at a...

Re: Primary arm mini red dot

I have two micros. Somewhere. Fine for plinking type guns as has been mentioned. The second one I bought had a slight issue when I went to change the battery and more than the battery fell out into my hands. Tried to be positive and thought...spare parts? Probably not. Sight won't turn on. Primary A...

Re: Safety first

I know of one death at a pistol match. Don't want to go into the details but it was quite a while ago (20 years or more ?) and a bullet left the bay and came down elsewhere on the range killing a non-competitor. I happen to know one of the people that was shooting on that squad from where the bullet...

Re: Starting up a Steel Shoot

Also, Gopher Rifle and Revolver, in Harris, usually does monthly steel shoots throughout the summer months. Haven't seen an actual schedule for 2015, yet. They don't utilize any falling steel so .22's can be used, too. They also allow .22 rifles. At one point they had a division for pistol caliber c...

On another note, has anyone experienced the loose primer pocket phenomenon with the American Eagle FC stamp .223, that I have seen noted on some forums?

Re: Some cases just won't size down far enough?

Actually Sam, the reason that USPSA went to allowing 9x19 as major was because there are some factory loads that do make major. This worked out as they lowered the power floor to 165 (from 175)- As I recall, there was a Cor Bon 124gr +P+ load that made it, a couple of LEO heavier bullet loads, as w...

My mother turns 70 on this D-day, too.

By then, the USS Monticello had dropped my grandfather off in New Guinea where he started island hopping his way towards Manila.

Re: Tell me more about 4/19 Steel Shoot - Gopher match

What is the format used? Similar to USPSA or IDPA? I was told that you can use 22LR rifles. I figure that is the only open Saturday I see that conflicts with no other matches so I wanted to do something as my free Saturdays are usually reserved for other matches. You may be thinking of the steel ma...

Re: Owner of S.C. Pub Insults With no-gun Sign...eats crow:)

I'm confused....is he calling other people douchebags or is that his signature? I think he meant to call people douchebag but it is punctuated as if it is his signature which is more appropriate. I have no issue with this guy. If he wants to use his First Amendment rights to express his opinion the...

Re: Carrying in the cold with gloves?

Mechanix gloves work ok. Not great for bitter cold but better than nothing.
