It would also be good to get the defense funds up front, not after you found not guilty. NRA Carry is reimbursement after the fact defense costs after the initial bail and retainer cost. USCCA and Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network pay for attorney fees and expert testimony as it happens. Since I ...

Second Call Defense was also disinvited less than 2 weeks before the convention. Sean Maloney is it's founder and a member of the NRA’s board. I think he may also be an attorney, FWIW... Their convention but show a little class, advise them before flights and hotels are booked, booth materials and s...

We have this now in AZ. We also have no photo on the permit, so your DL or state ID , which has photos is also required. Most places Xerox them and file that with the 4473 form.

Remember too the state stepped out with matching funds that allowed our club to replace trap throwers and other gear. Prior to this match we were seeing a steady decline in Trap shooters and revenue. Fastest growing HS sport in MN, no injuries since it started. Hard to see a downside, particularly w...

My move to the Tucson, AZ area is complete

I admit to being surprised and pleased to see city and county parks routinely have nicely equipped pistol ranges. Just saw them from the road, but they looked well maintained. I am really hoping AZ has less Ask Clowns than MN does. These are what Clint Smith calls folks who ask what to you think of ...

I sold out the class, adding another range owner and a current police chief, both NRA instructors.

John Farnam, Armed Response to a Terrorist Attack 7/23/24

We have been signing people up for this class for the past several months and just have a few seats left. I certainly have no issue with someone who has taken one of John's classes recently commenting on his or her experience. But in the past, and I believe to this board's detriment, people who have...

John Farnam, Tactical Treatment of Gun shot Wounds

On MN Responsible Gun Owners FB page someone else started a thread about do you carry anything to assist should you or someone you are shooting with sustains a GSW. Yes, I know its unlikely but what do you do? It's an even bigger question if you instruct students of any level. As some of you know, I...

Re: USCCA Instructor Classes Aug 6 and 7 in Maple Grove

I'm now down to 3 slots in this class. I always learn a lot from the people I train with in any class and its particularly true in these classes. 6 of my 9 students are NRA instructors, with one owning a local gun range and being the former police chief in small MN Community and an NRA Certified LEO...

John Farnam on "Common Sense" Universal Background Checks

From my friend and mentor John S Farnam, the dean of tactical Trainers. John is always clear and concise and as a retired Marine Major and 40 pus year LEO and trainer, John speaks his mind: 30 May 16 Beware of “Common Sense!” Much gas being expended this election year, and our Second Amendment is a ...

USCCA Instructor Classes Aug 6 and 7 in Maple Grove

I've been an NRA Certified Instructor since 2005 and am a Life Endowment member of the NRA. I have over 10 years of firearms training and competition experience and have trained with folks like John Farnam, Massad Ayoob, Ben Stoeger, Mike Seeklander and Robert Vogel. In 2013 I took the USCCA instruc...
