Re: Governor Walz and Burnsville shooter

Details will make a difference...if the shooter ordered and paid for items in "his name" and then had someone else pick them up and complete the paperwork... the dealers have got an issue to explain. (unclear at this time-from the sketchy reporting I've seen)

Re: Hard-to-eradicate ‘super pigs’ in Canada is threatening US

I can hear the bunny huggers now...if we can just make contraceptives available to the pigs everything will be alright.

Re: Savage 99cd Series A - Loose Tang Safety Button /Thumb pc.

been awhile since I had one apart... but as I recall there is a screw that comes from below and connects a safety actuator bar(forget the real name.) to the bottom of the safety. remove stock to gain access and tighten.

Re: gun cleaning thoroughness?

most had a combination of dirt/carbon/gunk, and I assume some lube mixed in. Very few came in, clean but with petrified lube. Usually those seemed to be new guns that had sat for years before being taking out and used. Which I suppose makes sense, the factory is more interested in a new gun getting ...

Re: gun cleaning thoroughness?

depends on how dirty, and if I will be shooting it again soon.
When I worked on guns for a living...a large percentage of guns that came in with the complaint "it don't work" or my favorite " gun no go bang"...just needed to be cleaned and lubed.

Re: Liberty safe

in my experience its fairly common that the safe company maintains a record of the original combination. Just change the combination after you buy a safe. It doesn't surprise or concern me that a safe company responds to an official (may not have been- is an issue) law enforcement request for the co...

High Wall repair

A friend has a Winchester High Wall 32-40. (Miroku Japan) . The hammer wont hold when trying to cock it. Anyone know where to get it fixed?.
Jim Kobe says he doesn't work on these repros, as they have coil springs that are impossible to deal with.
Ahlmans fixed it once.... lasted for all of 20 shots.
