In comment to the OP's (Original Poster) first comments... I remind people all the time that the biggest safety on ANY gun is your finger off the trigger... Glock's and every revolver I've ever handled do not have safeties... if you don't put your finger on the trigger it's nearly impossible for a h...

I can not comment on open carry, but I've had a Beltman belt for about 7-8 years. I though it was so good that I purchased a second one. Now I always wear one if I'm carrying or not. I really don't like any other belt now, and would buy another when ever either one of these wear out.

I currently do not own one myself, but I've been eyeing the Bersa Thunder 380CC... it's the Concealed Carry model. I shoot the standard Thunder 380 at Bill's the other day and really enjoyed it. I think it's worth looking at.

I'll be one of many carrying a large Caribou coffee Saturday morning.

After see this YouTube by hickok45, I finally got a chance to go to Bill's and rent their Bersa Thunder 380... not the CC model, but I was impressed. Thought it would be nice to try considering the price and size. Put 50 rounds through it... no issues... felt good, nice groupings for just shooting 7...

Very nice... I have 2 Springfields (XDm9 and XD9sc), both are very sweet shooters.

Glock 26 or Springfield XD9sc... two very good subcompact handguns... 100% reliable and to me that is the most important part of any carry weapon.

With that budget I'd look at a Kel-Tec PF9 or Bersa Thunder 380CC.... but by all means don't buy it unless you try it first... Bill's has a Bersa Thunder, but not the CC, and last I checked they don't have a PF9.

I'd spend a lot less... think Springfield XDm9... 19+1, buy a few extra magazines... I have 5 mag, so when I get there I can shoot 95 rounds without reloading a magazine.

I've never had a plan going into a year on what I was going to purchase... and most purchases were done in about a month... research, saving money, and purchase.

But right now I'm thinking about trying out a .380... maybe a Walther PPK/S, SIG 232, or Bersa Thunder.

Very, very nice looking gun... and the grips really put it over the top!!!
