Re: M&P15-22

There was a gentleman at the range in St. Cloud this last week with the colt version of the S&W .22. It looked like a real hoot to shoot, but when i asked how much it set him back, it was somewhere in the $700.00 range! Is there that big of a difference between the two, or are people just paying...

Another black eye for gun owners

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2009/09/05/national/a094125D48.DTL&tsp=1 I am a bit embarrassed to even post this since there were drugs involved with this arrest; but the reason for the initial arrest is what disturbs me. I fear our society is so far down t...

Re: My first AR build

Haha well that one took off?!?!?! The components i chose were mostly decided on for price, long range accuracy (which im still working on) and a small amount on looks. I mainly built it for a trip my dad, brother and i do to south dakota every year for prairie dogs, i sat behind my brothers ...

My first AR build

Hi guys, I just got in all the pieces to finish my new varmint gun. It's a 24" h-bar barrel with a 5-15x50 bushnell elite. It's on a del-tone lower, bravo m4 upper, and a2 buttstock. So far i've only taken it out to 100 yards, it will print 20 rounds in a 3" circle. Luckily i found a girl ...

Re: Rear Bench Bag - taller versions?

You make one from an old powderbag filled with rice, you will have a very cheap bag that's very custom to your needs. Just don't get it wet!

Re: M&P 9c Fail

This is why this silly auto-loading pistol fad is not going to last. Even with the FTE, 9 times out of 10 it unloads more rounds then a revolver before the jam!!! :D In all seriousness, i am very happy with the gun, and i do realize that this is still a mass production piece with many moving pieces...

Re: M&P 9c Fail

Thanks for all the input guys! I'll be sending it back to S&W for a tune up it sounds like. I haven't fired any carry ammo as of yet, wanted to get a little cozier with the gun before i started carrying and feeding it the expensive stuff! Once i get it back i'll try to run 1K rounds or so before...

Re: M&P 9c Fail

Sorry for the lack of information on my part... the gun has been broken down and thoroughly cleaned after every trip to the range, roughly every 50-75 rounds. No need to worry about offending me, I'll be the first to admit i am probably making some sort of newb mistake lol. The actual set of events ...

M&P 9c Fail

Hi Guys, I recently purchased a M&P 9c to use as a carry gun once i have my permit, but the last two times at the range it has failed to extract the fired round completely resulting in a jam. The gun fired flawlessly for 250-300 rounds using pmc fmj's, but since switching to Winchester white box...

Re: Just stopping to say hi

Hi guys, Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I did take Sam up on his offer for the carry class today, and I'm very glad I did. His class was very informative and and he did a fabulous job explaining how things tend to play out in the real world, not just in some textbook. Thanks again for providing a...

Re: Just stopping to say hi

I don't know who the instructor will be yet, but i'm planning on going through gander mtn. I was suppose to go on the 13th with a coworker, but i ended up racing that day. I hope it will be the same guy he had, as he learned alot from him in the classroom, and on the range after class they practiced...

Just stopping to say hi

Hi my name is Curt, i'm a 25 year old from St Cloud. I've been interested in guns and varmint hunting for a while now, but recently have found an interest in handguns. I'm afraid i'm still very new to the information dealing with these guns, but hope to draw as much as i can with a little guidance h...
