Re: OK here it is

While I am not enamored by that OTHER guy IMO you should have both books. One has a lot more general and interesting gun information while the OTHER guys has a lot more legal information. BUT, if I could only have one it would have to be the one you are showing.

Re: half cocked

Official EAA replies FINALLY after 3 emails and 3 phone messages: They do not have a half cocked position, it is a "resting" position. When asked if it really was a 97 clone and he responded it was I asked why they have a half cocked position which he had no answer for other than thinking ...

Re: 1911 Safety Question

Official reply from EAA when they FINALLY returned my call after 3 emails and 3 phone messages left. This is the total of all replies: It is NOT a half cocked position it is a "resting" position. He could not define what a "resting" position is when I said that it appeared to be ...

Re: half cocked

So larry...do you actuall y own a witness? and when you carry half cocked, do you engage the safety or not? Two of them. One compact and one full size, both 45. I do not engage the safety on the compact and do not carry the full size with comp. I just downloaded the Manual to the gun, and the manua...

Re: half cocked

I was thinking one could carry it cocked and locked (SA), or half cocked with or without safety on (DA). Only thing is, I can't figure a safe way to get it to half cocked. Easy hammer hold and pull the trigger to get to half cocked. If you are holding it right and the hammer drops too fast all you ...

Re: Local Ammo Prices

I do wally world Eden Prairie and Shakopee at least once a week (usually Tuesdays) and Hutchinson every few weeks. None have a set day or time for receiving any ammo so you never know unless you stop in. As I mentioned in another thread, I'd be glad to pick up some Wally World ammo if someone would ...

But he is right about the value being diminished once a gun is fired. Could even have been a collectors item rather than his self defense gun. Bit sketchy on the details but BS on the part of the PD non the less.

Re: First Wednesday Lunch Poll

Gotta be pretty hard up to eat chicken feet. Partial to hog brains and scrambled eggs myself but the wife's family would fight over "footsies" especially right after butchering when they are fresh. Me, I know what those feet walked in  Not sure if it's the Bohemian or German half of ...

Re: Wally World ammo pick up

XD9 your example is exactly what I was originally talking about. Doesn't do much good for someone to tell me a Wally World that is nearly an 80 mile round trip has one box of my 45 ammo. On the other hand if we could be buying for each other I could have met you to pick up my ammo :D. At WW prices e...
