Re: Illinois PTC training requirements

They have allowed some credit for a DD214, or a UT permit, but for the majority it's gonna be the whole 16 hours. Plus electronic fingerprints, which are running about $60-100. Technically you don't need the prints, but then the great folks at the IL State police can add another 30 days to the time ...

Re: Looking at O/U shotguns

I was in your same shoes a few years back, I ended up buying a Lanber from CDNN. Think I paid around $500 or so, and I have been extremely happy with it. It's no Citori, but for the money was a good buy. It's a brand that not many people have heard of though, so resale would probably be an issue. Pe...

Re: Ruger SR22 problems, should I send it back?

Ruger normally is known for very good service, I would absolutely send it back. Give em a ring and see, but if I recall you can send it back without an FFL, but it has to ship next day air UPS or FedEx. I would push for them to foot the shipping bill.

Re: Ecollars for pheasant hunting

I have the TriTronics upland g something or another, had for about 5 years, still works great. Should have went with the cheaper version, because I never use the beeper collar, but very happy overall. I haven't ever needed it, but ive heard their CS is fantastic as well.

Re: Rep Bobby Rush, Insight into why Chicago kills 400+ youts

Three facts about Bobby Rush 1. He is a convicted felon. He did six months for a weapons charge. 2. He is/was a member of the Black Panthers. 3. Worst part - he is my Rep. He typically wins his elections with over 80% of the vote, due to the way his district is drawn up. Absolutely sickens me that t...

CC holder vs armed robber in WI

Yeah, I'm not so sure I want to involve myself in a gunfight over the grocery store's money..especially to chase after the robber. Although its a lot easier to say what I would/woudnt do from behind a keyboard though. Hopefully never have to find out.

Where have you heard he is shot in the throat and will never speak? I haven't heard a peep about this.
