Better late than never!

Been registered for a while, even went to the steel shoot and bowling pin shoot last year - you guys are a blast to party with! Not sure what other information is pertinent here, live in the twin cities, lean towards soviet designs for collecting, think the 7.62x39 is much maligned due to the aforem...

Source for AK conversion parts near the twin cities?

Looking to convert my saiga 7.62x39. Sure, I could order parts online and then wait DAYS for them to arrive, or I could buy them locally and have em now. Who actually stocks AK parts locally? I need a trigger group and a pistol grip nut, and I'd like a retaining plate (but could do without I guess) ...

Re: I want a levergun in ________.

Isn't most 7.62x54R mil surp ammo sptizer style bullets? I am thinking it would be tough to find flat nose ammo in this caliber but maybe wrong. I was wrong - it was an 1895 - no... no tube mag, no problem with sptizers. Also, looks like it was only about 300k... so only one giant warehouse :) http...

Re: I want a levergun in ________.

So... I read a story once... Story is the most common size the winchester 94 was manufactured in: 7.62x54r. Millions were made and sent to russia, on contract to the czar - only to be mothballed when the soviets seized control. I have these dreams, where giant warehouses, just like the last scene fr...

Re: compact gun question

Guess it all depends on what you mean by small and what your idea of pocket carry is, I have tried both J fames and the Kahr PM9 and didnt care for either as far as size, To big for what I was wanting one for. I have a P3AT which I can drop in a rear pants pocket, Probably would work in a shirt poc...

Any impressions on the FN FNAR? anyone ever fire one?

Long time listener, first time caller... Has anyone ever fired an FNAR? They seem to be readily available, and not prohibitively more expensive than an AR in .308. There is almost no chatter about them anywhere online. Anyone had a chance to fire one? Any impressions? Anyone own one and love/hate th...
