Re: Biden announces zero tolerance for FFL violations

Devil is in the details. I wish the government would crack down on all sorts of EXISTING gun laws rather than try and write new gun laws. Isn't it a crime for a prohibited person to try and get a gun? It seems to me that every NICS denial should be accompanied with an investigation to get that prohi...

Is GOCRA still alive?

There used to be Minnesota Concealed Carry Reform Now, but then we got permit to carry passed.

That organization seemed to morph into GOCRA.

Is GOCRA still around? has it morphed into Gun Owners Caucus, or is that something totally separate?

Re: T-Mobile Censorship

I don't understand a lot of how these things work. All I know is that, unless I'm connected to my home I cannot get to this site. Okay: Your home internet is probably a different company than T-mobile Your phone has two ways of connecting to the internet - the cell-tower system and wi-fi. (do you k...

Any recommendations for a less expensive renewal class? (Yes no real difference between regular and renewal by law as I unders...

Re: Gun buy back in Minneapolis

I've heard repeated several times today, a news report on KTLK / 1130 AM, (most recently @ 1900hrs) about the success of the gun buyback. According to the reporter, the highly successful event had to shut down early because they ran out of funds after 3 hours. According to the report, they doled ou...

Re: Gun clubs expand with growing number of high school trap sho

There is going to be some financial issues long term with these trap teams. Our club ,for example, is footing a very large amount of the bill for our local team, and it may turn into unsustainable growth if the clubs keep getting stuck holding the bag, and the teams keep growing in size. Last year ...

Re: How do you store extra magazines?

A spring wears with every CHANGE that happens. So a spring that is loose gets compressed...that's a change. A spring that is compressed gets released...that's a change. So leaving a magazine loaded will not do any harm. I SUSPECT the tale about 'don't leave them loaded' came from when people would c...

Re: Permit to purchase

I have had P to P problems as well. Got one from the same police chief multiple times. Then he decided he wanted to go above and beyond what the law was and wanted to see my birth certificate, Social Security, and/or passport. Apparently this pasty white middle age guy was possibly an illegal immigr...

Re: 'Self-aiming' rifle turns novices into expert snipers

I dislike any time someone states 'this technology mimics what previously could be accomplished with hours of practice therefore it should be illegal' I LIKE technology that takes the place of having to spend all the time learning to do it. I much prefer a box of matches to having to rub two sticks ...

Re: 2 bullets too many. NY arrest permit holder.

First question...why is this picture that accompanies this article a Glock with a bunch of 7.62x38R ammo? http://www.theblaze.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/shutterstock_85921075.jpg Second, yes, the guy may be stupid, but really the fault lies with the stupid law. AND...the law is g...

Re: Compromise: Trade Universal Checks for Serial Numbers

here's my compromise #1 - states and institutions can be held monetarily liable if they do NOT submit lists of felons and the mentally ill in a timely fashion (monthly) to the NICS...and then someone who should have been given a denial passes a check and gets a gun. #2 - NICS will be improved to de...
