Re: Buying Online-Pics posted

OK, guys, I finalized my first online purchase today. The whole thing took about a week. I have to say, it was super slick. I ended up buying this baby from a pawn shop located in Texas. I used a local FFL guy and everything went really smooth. I would definitely buy from gunbroker.com and use "...

Re: How Do You Make Your Shooting Range Sessions Interesting?

Thanks for all the ideas!

I have been thinking about trying an outdoor range. I live in Blaine so the one in Cambridge isn't too far from me. And for only $70??? That's crazy cheap!! It's on my list to check out before the snow flies so I have some time...

Re: Buying Online-Pics posted

Sweet gun;) I just bought a gun on gunbroker.com myself last week. I haven't posted anything in this thread yet because the deal isn't done yet and I don't have the gun. Once everything is finalized and I have the gun in possession, I will post my overall experiences buying online and will of course...

Re: Need To Junk A Saturday Night Special - How To Do It?

Mark: I suspected someone would bring this point up. As a newbie gun owner and someone who is just getting their feet wet, I don't have any interest owning a gun I know very little about. I did some research on this gun and there were a few places that were saying they were unsafe to operate. This m...

How Do You Make Your Shooting Range Sessions Interesting?

I'm going to be hitting the shooting range this weekend for the first time to break in one of my new guns. My plan was to print out some targets I found online and just shoot at them. While I'm sure that will be plenty of fun for me for the first few times out, I know I'll get bored just shooting at...

Need To Junk A Saturday Night Special - How To Do It?

I inherited a junk gun from the 70's. After doing some research, I guess they call this thing a Saturday Night Special. It's a Raven Arms P25 pistol just like the one here: http://jtjersey.com/Raven/raven.htm You could buy these babies for just $50 back in the day. I have no need for this gun so I j...

Ammo Directory Website for Gun Owners & Dealers???

I'm a newbie to the gun world but am quickly becoming addicted as I've already purchased two guns in about two weeks and I still want to buy more :D At any rate, I am an Internet Marketer by trade. I promote products and services online for companies across the U.S. As a new gun owner, I am finding ...

Re: What To Look For When Buying Used Handguns?

I don't get down that way too often, but the next time I find myself in Minneapolis, I will definitely stop by! Thanks for the offer. Travis My basics handgun instructor said she would never buy a used firearm. When I asked her why, she said because you never truly know about the gun. I'm presuming ...

What To Look For When Buying Used Handguns?

My basics handgun instructor said she would never buy a used firearm. When I asked her why, she said because you never truly know about the gun. I'm presuming she means you don't know what it has been through, how well it's been taken care of, etc. etc. I was planning on buying a used revolver but a...

Re: How old were you when you started shooting?

You guys are total veterans;) I not only come from a non-firearms family but I don't even have relatives that have guns. Were the Dutch pacifists maybe...lol. I didn't shoot my first gun until about a month ago. I'm 36. Why did I start? Self-defense, to protect my family, and to prepare for the apoc...

Re: How Do I Know If This Gun Is Priced Reasonably?

Could you tell me the online dealer where you found this? I'll check the online resources given in this thread myself so if you found it there I'll find it. How Do I Know If This Gun Is Priced Reasonably?

As you guys know, I'm totally new to handguns so I'm completely clueless right now if a given price for a handgun is a good deal or not. I'm currently looking for a S&W 686 6" 6-shot and I found one new at Gander in Maple Grove. They have it priced at $799. I know S&W may be considered ...

Total Newbie From Blaine

Hello everyone! My name is Travis and I live in Blaine. I bought my first handgun last week - a Sig P226 9mm. Coincidentally, it was the first gun I have ever shot in my life. I had the pleasure of shooting it during my handgun basic's course I took at Bill's North. It was so comfortable in my hand ...
