Re: 1st Wed Lunch Is Coming

I also will not be attending as I am recovering from a mini-stroke. I feel fine but did go to E.R. at insistence of The Good Doctor, and had both C.T. and M.R.I. scans of my head & neck areas with just minor concerns as a result. I will be seeing a neuro - surgeon about correction of two areas ...

Re: 1st Wed Lunch Is Coming

Well, today my Doctor (and my wife) put a Nix on my attending any get togethers until I have had my Covid Vaccine. Due to my two types of cancer, as well as radiation therapy (only 4 more treatments to go :booyah: ) he said my immune system is Highly Compromised, and I have to avoid group gathering...

Re: 10mm issue...

I've had several instances where a loaded pistol round would easily fit into the proper case gage, but would not pass the "plunk test" in certain pistol barrels of the correct caliber, yet they would pass the "plunk test" in other barrels of the same caliber. This was caused by t...

Re: Use Medical Marijuana? 30 days to turn in your guns

MRP, thanks for your response. I've been trying to muddle through all the legal mumbo-jumbo related to this issue. It seems that your are correct in stating that possession (actual or constructive) of a firearm by a medical marijuana patient, or any other member of the household, is prohibited by th...

Re: Use Medical Marijuana? 30 days to turn in your guns

My wife has had luekemia for three years, and is now considering applying for a prescription for medical marijuana. So I'm wondering what the latest view of the Feds and of the State of Minn is with regards to this issue. The links -- http://www.guns.com/2011/10/10/atf-bans-the-sale-of-guns-and-ammo...

Re: Dead and wounded in Orlando

I kept the link to one of the news reports from the Today Show after Sandy Hook. There was another video at the time that stated unconditionally that an AR15 was NOT used in that shooting. Don't seem to be able to find that video or link at this time. Here is a link to the Today Show video stating t...

Re: Tactical/precision scope.

How about the Lucid L5 6-24X50mm ($450), or the Lucid 4-16X44mm "Cross Over Optic" ($420)?? Both have a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The etched L5 reticle and SFP seem like they would suit your needs rather well. Michael Bane says they are cool, so they gotta be good -- right? http://www.myl...

Re: AR triggers

Ordered the Rock river 2 stage NM for $62 and some change, Duh. I've got an ALG, CMMG and a JP, looking forward to a comparison. I've got a CMMG too. It took a lot of work to get it operating satisfactorily. Having done that, it could make a good & durable hunting trigger, but would not be cons...

Re: Coonan 45acp

Perhaps they should try chambering it for the 45 Win Mag.
That could be really interesting.
The COL is very nearly the same as that of the .357.

Re: AR triggers

I like the Rock River NM 2-stage trigger, or the 2-stage Varmint trigger. They are relatively inexpensive and work well. They are not adjustable, but IMHO they are a great value. Crisp second stage at about 3.5 to 4 lbs total pull (first & second stages combined) for the Varmint trigger, and abo...
