Re: Share you experience with USPS Money Order sales

Signing it twice sounds like attempted fraud. Way to go. I've had some resistance to money orders on GB sales, but I'll take a personal check I just don't advertise that in the listings. No problems getting screwed selling to gun buyers in my limited experience. Yes on the MO I wrote it to t...

Re: Share you experience with USPS Money Order sales

The USPS agent told be that there has to be two signature or the claim will be denied and nothing else they can do. So I signed both spots and sent it the form back to USPS. If I understand correctly, you need the payee to sign as well. You couldn't get their signature, so you either forged theirs ...

Share you experience with USPS Money Order sales

Recently I was conned into a fraudulent online forums sales of a firearm. I sent a USPS money order in the name of the seller and to the supposed seller's address. All communications were though emails and texts and my FFL also email their info to the seller. As soon as the money order was confirmed...

Re: Permit to purchase waiting time.

I can't (i.e. won't look up) the statute, but the summary is that if it is not denied in 7 days, then it is 'approved'. Of course, without the piece of paper, no FFL is going to sell you anything, and when you quote the statute (should you decide to look it up) to the St. Paul PD, you'll be given t...

Re: Permit to purchase waiting time.

I believe the police deaprtment has seven days to process your permit to purchase. Others hereabout are much better informed on the legal stuff, but that is the upshot. As far as I know, they don't mail them out. You have to go in and pick it up. Does anybody else smell fish? :cogitating: Good luck...

Permit to purchase waiting time.

Hello, I've applied for a Permit to Purchase almost a month ago at a Saint Paul Police department and still haven't gotten an approval. I've returned a few times and asked them what's taking them so long, and they just keep telling me that they are waiting for a background check from the BCA (Bureau...
