Has your gun club contacted you about upcoming bans?

If you are a member of a gun club or range and you have not seen communication from the club to membership warning you of the issue please contact the board and urge them to send communication immediately. They should be warning membership and engaging them to contact their legislators urgently. Poi...

Re: the new panic... hr 241

Do NOT let up one bit in the campaign against this crap. Keep calling, writing and, more importantly, telling everyone you know to do the same. I've contacted dozens of my friends via e-mail, Facebook, as well as verbally and I also provided information (and impetus) to my gun club to contact member...

Re: Best "all purpose" caliber

.300 Win Mag will have the trajectory and power for both dogs and elk-sized game. Of course, it isn't really a caliber you would enjoy torching off dozens (hundreds) of rounds in a sitting like you might do dog hunting. :D My suggestion is to work your way up to having appropriate guns for different...

Re: My view from the range at Bill's in Robbinsdale today

I think you, Brad and I are more alike than not. I've brought extra ammo, let people used my guns, acted as an RSO which everyone is when on the range, etc. Nope, I won't look down at someone for saying "clip" when it's a magazine, but I'll educate them. Words have power, meaning, if the ...

Re: My view from the range at Bill's in Robbinsdale today

2) You MUST have one of the following to shoot at the range. 2a) A valid Minnesota PTP with proof of a basic pistol class training within 3 years time (some people may just keep renewing their PTP) 2b) A valid Minnesota PTC. 2c) A valid out-of-state PTP or PTC will be accepted IF the primary person...

Re: Lemon juice cleaning

If you have a picture on Photobucket then, when you are viewing it on that site, right-click on the picture you want to post here and choose 'copy image location'. Wording will vary depending on the browser you are using. The resulting URL copied to your computer's clipboard is what you need to use ...

Re: Gun control? We need to start controlling the criminals!

As others have said, it has nothing to do with the tool used in commission of a crime. It is the criminal and their intent that are the problem. You need to either eliminate the criminal or eliminate the intent. I'd postulate that the best way to do that in the immediate future is by creating real, ...

Re: JAKL Machine 80% Build Party

I read back a few pages... It wasn't 100% clear, but it looked like some additional lowers might be available? Can I still get in on things? What is the total cost?

Thanks!

Re: Gander Mountain Expanding Firearm Sales

Yes, Gander is pushing ahead with their Gun World plan. I'm all for more gun stores. More selection and more options should be good for all consumers. There is a plan for one in the NW metro that will put more in my neck of the woods. :D

Re: Costco Gun Safe Sale

I recommend getting a name brand safe like Liberty. You won't regret it. Why buy a bunch of nice, expensive guns, just to skimp on the safe? Well, Rhino, the parent company that makes Bighorn, is a major brand name. They might not be as widely known as Liberty and Champion because those are typical...

Re: OBAMA SAYS TOP PRIORITY 2013- GUN CONTROL

It's probably a stretch, but I remember snowmobiles getting a real bad reputation in the late 60's and early 70's. It was a bad time for the industry, and snowmobilers recognized that. They made a huge commitment to change the way the public saw snowmobiles - sleds became much quiter, snowmobilers ...

Re: New Year - New Guns

Something in .308/7.62. Preferably like a SOCOM rather than an AR. Also, if I can find someone to go prairie dog or coyote hunting with I want to pick up a gun appropriate for those tasks.
