Re: Buying guns after fired? Watch out for the SWAT team!

Of course, we know enough to make a definitive call on this case. NOT! " was "very disgruntled," " Could mean he has made death threats to people. Also, if he is adjudicated mentally dangerous, that would be cause in MN to take away his guns. It could also mean he was simply ups...

Re: Buying guns after fired? Watch out for the SWAT team!

Sounds like someone won't have to worry about working after their lawsuit goes through.

That news article is ridiculous

Re: Can't quite seem to escape Chicago

Still no permit. Unfortunately I have been so busy with work, that I haven't had the chance to pester the SPPD more.

Seeing as how I am currently sans firearm (I had to sell them all when I moved to Chicago) I'd need the PTP first

Re: Can't quite seem to escape Chicago

I applied with the St Paul Police. Should I have applied with the Ramsey County Sheriff instead?

Can't quite seem to escape Chicago

So I recently applied for my permit to purchase. Recently being 2 weeks ago now. From everything I had read, I knew the city, St Paul in this case, had 7 days to approve or deny the permit. Well, the first week goes by and it doesn't come. Now the second week has gone by and I am getting upset. I ca...

Re: I come from a terrible place

To get a permit to purchase, you will need to go to your local PD and fill out a form. Most places are very good at following the law and will have it ready in a week. Minnesota for the most IS gun friendly and they will not treat you like you're diseased when you show up to fill out the form. I fi...

Re: Daewoo Handguns?

Remember when Daewoo was building cars for the US market? That didn't last long. They still do build a car sold here, although it's imported by Chevrolet and rebadged as the Aveo. There is also the Pontiac G3, the Suzuki Forenza, and the Suzuki Reno. GM owns the majority of Daewoo motors. Daewoo Pr...

Re: I come from a terrible place

I've done some searching and am still coming up with questions. What is needed to buy in this state? I just got my MN driver's license. My understanding is I also need a permit to purchase or permit to carry. What a novel idea. In IL, we had FOID cards, which were needed just to touch a gun. From wh...

Re: Daewoo Handguns?

I had a DH40 a while back.

Worst gun I ever owned. I had all kinds of problems with the trigger and brought it to multiple gunsmiths. They all recommended the same thing. Pawn it or use it as a paperweight.

I come from a terrible place

Greetings I'm Matt, and I'm a fairly recent transplant to MN from Chicago. I love that city, but definitely disagree with some of their politics. I haven't owned a firearm since I moved to Chicago, but am looking to get back into the sport, which found me here. Thanks for having me, I'll probably be...
