Re: Woman killed by Fla. officer in "horrible accident"!

It wasn't an accident, it was NEGLIGENCE. The cops made sure she had a Glock that only fired simunition, but then shot her with a regular old 5 shot snubby, which they obviously failed to check over before pointing it at her and pulling the trigger multiple times. Administrative leave, my a $$. That...

Re: New Remington 1911R1 shoots about two feet low.

I have multiple 1911's and Glocks. Never seen this issue. Although I don't own a Remington 1911. Excited to hear back on how the customer service is for you as I'm considering one. The CS is very, very good. I dropped it off at a UPS store on Saturday, and it was back in my hands the following Frid...

Re: New Remington 1911R1 shoots about two feet low.

Thanks for the insight, Rugersol. I did field strip it and give it a good cleaning before I fired it, but I wouldn't know what to check as far as the barrel link goes.
The return label is here, so the gun will go out this week. I will post up about the repairs.

Re: New Remington 1911R1 shoots about two feet low.

Sorry guys, but if I have to hold over so high at 30 yards that I need to look down the side of the slide to see where I'm hitting, there's something very wrong with the pistol that has nothing at all to do with the sights or grip angle. I didn't experience this issue with my XD45, my Beretta 92, or...

Re: New Remington 1911R1 shoots about two feet low.

I'm sure the sights are at least partly to blame! ... could also be a long link?! ... got any brass ya know was fired from it?! ... check if the primer strike is centered! I understand why you would think the sights are an issue, but I had to hold over so much that I couldn't even see the target ov...

Somebody had to say it.

My EDC is a G21.

This is my first sip of the 1911 Kool-Aid. It's bitter.

Re: New Remington 1911R1 shoots about two feet low.

I wasn't exaggerating...it shoots one to two FEET low at that distance. I was forced to look down the side of the slide to get a feel for where the target was. New sights won't fix that, unless I'm missing something.

New Remington 1911R1 shoots about two feet low.

I took my new 1911R1 out to put a few rounds through it last weekend. I had trouble getting them on paper at 10 yards (inaccurate and low), and all I could do at 30 yards was shoot holes in the dirt under my target. I made sure nothing was loose, then had my friend try it. He shot the same hole in t...

Re: Minnesota Militia(s)?

That was an isolated event. During a US wide need their family is going to be living next door to some of us. We already have documented instances of the military being used against US citizens domestically, so you're really arguing a moot point (remember the tanks at Waco?). Its happened before, a...

Re: Minnesota Militia(s)?

I can see that several of you have a rather large disconnect between your opinion and reality when it comes to your fellow citizens. So now the members of the Minnesota National Guard are Obama zombies who will follow orders blindly "to save their own asses" - from whom, I would ask? Coll...

Re: Minnesota Militia(s)?

Anyone who thinks for a second that our police and military won't turn on us has forgotten about the Milgram obedience study, and the Stanford prison experiment. If the order to go pick up the guns is given, you think those soldiers and officers are going to risk their own asses by defying it out of...

Re: Interesting tidbit overheard at Fleet Farm

Trying to barter or buy ammo on armslist is about enough to make a guy lose faith in humanity. Those people are crazy.

Good thing for us were talking about ammunition and not food and water. If the latter were the case, half of us would be dead by now. Buy low sell high!

Interesting tidbit overheard at Fleet Farm

I just picked up a new handgun the other day, and have been poking around for some .45 ACP practice ammo to break it in. While at the BP Fleet Farm today, I overheard one of the employees tell a customer they're getting 1,000 inquiries about handgun ammo a day (600 calls and 400 walk-ins). They went...
