Re: Striped Skunks?

Depends. On if I'm up or down wind. Coyotes; anywhere it's legal; 24/7, 365. I'm not persuaded that all the shooting in the world is ever going to seriously impact them. Cats, more and more as the folks who let me hunt their land want them gone. The rest on the unprotected list I've probably dropped...

Re: Why I have become such a handloading PITA.

If this happens, the ability of the American public to resist a Socalist tryanny by force of arms will be severly crippled, and as I have said above, handloading will be the last bastion of armed resistance in this country. I am too old to die young, and with my health issues I may not be able to l...

Re: A "Serious" .22 LR

My 10/22 has a Boyds Blaster stock, A&B bull barrel, Volquartsen internals, Nikon Monarch on top. It will cut a ragged hole all day long and i KNOW it's not the geezer squeezing the trigger! Love to take into the woods, the critters don't have a prayer. If I can get the glass on 'em, they fall d...

Re: School banning items as weapons

The usual nanny-state nonsense from the usual suspects.

Dangerous weapons, huh? I can put a pencil up your left nostril and out your right ear before you can say "Barry Sucks!"

Another shining example of why those with young children should home school.

Re: 2A applicable only to flintlocks? Apparently not.

Considering the open cesspool he's living in, I'm thinking this is the least of the guys worries.

Re: WI: Appeals Court closes gun club

Actually, I was serious about turning the property over to a tribe. IANAL, but I have heard of various parcels of land being acquired and then consolidated into reservation land. Once that occurs,it's my understanding that they can put up pretty much anything they damn well please, and the locals be...

Re: WI: Appeals Court closes gun club

If this indeed means the end for this club it would be nice if the members could find it in their hearts to donate the property for use as a tribal casino....or rehab center.

You know, a little going away present for the neighbors. The kind that keeps on giving.

Re: Varmint hunting in MN

I was told that a good quality electronic call is all that you would need to bring the critters within rifle range. Please have the individual who told you this contact me; I've got a swell bridge in a borough of New York city I'd like to talk to him about.... ..you just reselling the one tha...

Re: Varmint hunting in MN

Talked to a guy behind the meat counter at Cub. Bottom line, I can have all the 'dog bones, scraps, waste, etc' for ONLY $1.98lb. My hound doesn't eat THAT well. But I think this is the way to go. I'll just have to find a country butcher shop and see what's available. Still rather do the road...

Re: Varmint hunting in MN

Anyone have a line on where I might find some dead critters(cows, pigs, sheep, etc) to use for bait? Thought about collecting road-kill for this purpose, but after I talked to someone at the DNR ,that doesn't look very promising. They said I'd need to contact a local CO for EVERY one I picked up. Wo...

Re: YODA and OBIWAN and THE FORCE !

Have had Colts, Springfields and S&Ws. HAD. As in past tense. Not that there was anything wrong with them. Or so I thought.

Then I discovered Para. Specifically, the P-12. And now I have more than a couple.

And like the man said: "Don't leave home without it!"

YMMV.

Buck 110. Lasts forever and if you somehow manage to mess it up they'll replace it for life.
