Re: WELLS MN GUN SHOW 2012

Sounds like I'll be bringing two, maybe three people to the show on Sunday. Not sure how much we'll spend but we'll be taking up space, lol. Then I get to go to work.

Re: WELLS MN GUN SHOW 2012

I know from years past that parking is a pain so plan for extra walking time.

I'm not sure what this year's times are but I found an article from last year that said 8-5 Saturday and 8-4 Sunday.

Re: WY - woman sleeps, showers with Glock 22...

Yeap, time to move! I hope she's getting a carry permit too, or does Wyoming have constitutional carry?

She also should spend some more time at the range.

Re: Slide Fire ar-15

I think the Slidefire is neat but I do expect that the ATF will re-classify it as illegal at some point unless there is a massive overhaul of the ATF. Said overhaul is unlikely to functionally happen. Here's a video review of one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0BgLk1i9yY&feature=feedu Steelheart

Re: MN teachers laid off, others go to the Sheraton

The last line of the news article sums it up fairly well.

Re: How this for reluctant participant?

I like how, in small print, the video was edited to update that the gunman received 2 minimal charges while the chase team received 6 charges from all this. This is shown a couple times. I'm going to refrain from further comment except that I feel that the only sane person was the passenger in the m...

I like that idea.

Re: Southern Minnesota Sportsman's Club

Bit of a drive, but a nice club offering everything you are looking for - I'm a member here but you can be a member for a day for $15 I think it is. http://smsclub.org/ I attended the Appleseed Shoot there last spring. It's a great facility and I think the membership was reasonable. But yeah, it'll...

Re: WTB Marlin 795 magazines

I got my extra 795 mags from CDNN too. They've worked great and did come in factory packaging just like you'd find at Gander etc but the pricing was better.

CDNN has flat shipping rates so you might as well buy a bunch of stuff.

Re: Safe way to do FTF transactions

Due to this uncertainty I had a gun available to each hand. So you were rolling to a FTF sale a little something like this: http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcScMsvSyjj_MquxCsnVHhHMWsyVqRVg7MsBPxk03JxJZYKBYV1nNQ&t=1   Nope, I'm a white dude who still has his hair...

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to re-post that video as a warning to others.

Re: Safe way to do FTF transactions

I've done a few FTF transactions with people I didn't know. The last one was in January. I'd already brought a close friend up to speed and had emailed her all the info I had incase she had to contact LE. I was texting her as I waited both to pass the time & to give her updates. We met at a publ...

Re: PTR Locally

I'm another who's been looking at a PTR91 for the future. I'm not sure when I'll be willing to spend the money for the rifle but I've got a few mags around already (both steel & aluminum). The prices at CTD are too good to pass up. I'm looking forward to some range reports from people actually i...
