Re: Xds or Sheild?

Shield. I've been using one in .40 and I love it although it took some getting used to. The only reason I'd ever pick up an XDS is if I wanted a small polymer .45, definitely wouldn't bother with the 9mm when the Shield is around. I was able to fire a friends XDS once and I didn't care for it, it ju...

Re: FBI "disrupts terror attack" by arrest in Montevideo

This story smells worse than the Boston bombing scandal... I love how Fox 9 edited the interview with the suspect’s old man from the 5:00 pm to the 9:00 nice work cutting the clips to make him look even more white trash, great job Lyden!! Ya douche bag! The dude was arrested on his way home from wo...

Re: Proposed UN treaties. you guys see this yet?

We've signed treaties in the past with the UN such as the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child without ratifying them so even if it is signed I really don't see anything coming of it. The UN is a joke of an organization anyway with no real capability or will to enforce anything even if it is the...

Re: 14 dead, 50 wounded at Colorado Theater during Dark Knight

I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask about the "fully armored" part of this. Everything I've seen indicated he bought a Blackhawk tac vest (not a plate carrier)...knee pads, gloves, etc...is this simply a case of the media not understanding the difference between a vest and actual b...

Re: 14 dead, 50 wounded at Colorado Theater during Dark Knight

Taking on a guy in ballistic armor and an AR in that kind of situation (large crowd panicking and running everywhere, tear gas, dark) with a pistol seems pretty grim as well. Unless you are some elite handgun operator it just seems like this guy planned this out to be a no win situation for everyone...

Re: What'd you spend on your AR build?

I spent a little over $1000 on my 20" last year. I used a BCM government profile upper, PSA M16 BCG and charging handle, DD LPK, PSA carbine receiver extension and standard buffer, FG MBUS, MOE Grip, Handguard, ACS stock, and I built it all off a stripped Delaware Machinery lower I picked up at...

Re: new to hunting coyotes. tips?

Since a license is not required for hunting coyote would I be able to bring a friend who has not completed hunter safety training hunting? He's not too interested in hunting but he thinks coyote might be satisfying enough for him to try it. He is smart guy and I shoot with him regularly enough to kn...

Re: Baby Eagle 2? AR 24? CZ?

I have an old beater Baby Eagle/Jericho with a frame safety and I really like it. Very comfortable and accurate. Great trigger. Like was previously mentioned, it is very heavy. They are overbuilt guns that could go through the end of the world a few times. This thing looks awesome! Did they move th...

Re: Another (*yawn*) AR15 project thread

I use a Palmetto State Armory BCG on my 20" BCM upper and it has been flawless. Buy from Palmetto with confidence, they are a solid company.

Re: Is a Gun Safe An Essential Item?

Since I live in a second story apartment a safe isn't a realistic option for me, but I have a metal gun cabinet mounted to the floor in a closet. I figure it's enough to make it so that the normal thief doing a smash and grab looking for high value/low volume items such as laptops, cash, etc will ju...

Re: WTB AK74 split.AK 47 vs 74

One thing to remember about Romanian WASR-2's (and WASR series rifles in general) is that they have chrome lined barrels, in my opinion a necessity if you are using cheap corrosive surplus ammo (which is really the main reason to get a 74). That feature is something you just don't get without steppi...
