Re: Salesman named Chad at Alexandria Wally World

The cash register probably told him too. If you ask everybody you won't miss the one person who looks 21 but is only 19.

Crude but effective way to avoid getting caught in some bogus BATFE sting.

The New Guns Of 2014 Thread

Picked up a mossberg 930 combo from them for a good price recently. It's a fantastic shop. They stock stuff you don't see most other places and it's usually pretty nice stuff for a very good price.

Re: The New Guns Of 2014 Thread

Capra's had that new Ruger GP100 in the case today. Priced at about $780 IIRC.

It sure is pretty.

a hammer?

An AR pistol wouldn't have a slide. A Luger would have a slide but it wouldn't be quite as much of a slide as a traditional semiauto. An Uzi or AK pistol or a SIG 556 pistol would also not have a slide. A Tec-9 would also fit the bill. Apart from the Luger and Tec-9 and a mini Uzi, everything else g...

Lock 'em up?

Well, yeah. Maybe. There is a school of thought that says that if a man is too dangerous to be allowed to have a gun, he is too dangerous to be free. I have not previously subscribed to this school of thought. There are few black and white things in life so surely there must be shades of grey as far...

AR pistol

I'm guessing this is because of possible headspace issues?

Is it "not advised" or unsafe?

AR pistol

Not to beat a dead horse here but, if I buy a stripped lower build tot as a pistol with an upper that never exceeds 26" overall length I do not need to register it with BATFE or any state gov authority. It's just a pistol that I made, same as if I built my own 1911.

Right?
