Re: MN Bill making gun magazines of more than 10 shells illegal.

I maybe be taking this thread a little off track but we thought Obamacare would be ruled unconstitutional.... and it wasn't. As long as these bills are alive, they have a chance of passing. Fight 'em!

Re: Gun Free School Zones....

Believe me, I have empathy for them. I'm really sad about this. This one probably has me down more than any other senseless shooting. I can't imagine the pain the parents and families are going through. But for me, besides having sincere empathy for the victims, the grieving process also includes an...

Gun Free School Zones....

First of all, my condolences and thoughts go out to the families of those in Connecticut today. It's a terrible, terrible loss and is extremely sad. But the thing that is really pissing me off, again, and I have to vent about, is how well gun free school zones are working. For goodness sakes, let te...

Re: Bow advise

That's a decent price for that bow. You would want to make sure the draw can be adjusted to your length. Are you comfortable with the draw weight range? The peep sight may have to be adjusted for you. You would want to bring it to a shop and have it set-up for your body size, specs, and shooting mec...

Re: Arnzen Arms after two weeks

I made a quick stop to look around and I thought the prices were pretty fair, especially for the shotgun I want. :)

Re: Tikka T3 is where its at

I have the predecessor to the T3; the M595 in 7mm-08, and love this rifle.

I have shot the T3 Lite in .300 Win Mag for several shots in a row and it wasn't even that bad.

Re: Minnetonka sportsmen

I am a member also. I was on a waiting list for about 2 years. Three years ago, they increased the number of members from 300 to 350 and that's when I got in. There are some old-timers that are starting to pass-away and slowly, people on the waiting list are getting in.

PM also sent.

Re: Best SHTF rifle

The context is: Our financial system collapses Our power grid collapses Our access to fuel collapses Our government starts to collapse & it's every family for themself; or a "Red Dawn" situation. A .22 isn't going to cut-it for defense. For small game & survival, fine. But I was t...

I wouldn't say I'm totally unprepared. I just haven't gone to the lengths you suggested I had.

Told you before, not on a diet. I just quit drinking soda and eating junk. Nothing wrong with eating healthy with fruit, vegetagles, complex carbs, and lean protein.

Like I said about smart-asses chimming in! ;)

Re: Best SHTF rifle

Nope. Don't own any gas masks or potassium iodide. I don't have barrels of fuel in the garage. Don't even have extra water stored. I'm just trying to decide what kind of rifle I should buy with my discretionary income for a SHTF rifle. An AR, an M1A or otherwise. That's why I posed the question. Unf...

Re: Best SHTF rifle

Umm, what is SHTF? There is some S Hing TF in Japan right now. Rifles seem to be low on the list of things they are finding useful. Maybe that's because they have strict gun control in Japan and the citizens are not allowed to own firearms. That's pretty effing easy to figure-out for the rest of us...
