Re: Screwdriver for protection?

There are several states that have laws making possession of burglary tools a crime; some states rate it is as a felony. It would seem that a person who had in their possession a screwdriver and flashlight would be more suspect than a person with a permit and firearm. I’ll opt for the latter. MN sta...

Re: Cuffed and Caged for Open Carry

Plese define ILL FITTING HOLSTER, and where on earth did that come from?? Ill-fitting? The holster is big and bulky. There are references to the size of the holster throughout the thread. Just because it came with the gun doesn’t mean it fits. There is even a photo showing a relatively small handgu...

Re: Cuffed and Caged for Open Carry

tt3, I’m not saying that Madrevar misbehaved; if he did he would not have been released on good terms with LEO. It sounds as if he did an excellent job of “dealing with the man”. To clarify my stance: It’s not a matter of being legal to dress in summer clothes while carrying a gun in an ill-fitting ...

Re: Cuffed and Caged for Open Carry

I give the kid credit for posting his experience as a self proclaimed test-case-person for open carry and educator of misinformed law enforcement agents. By sharing his story, his gun and holster, his clothes, occupation, pick-up, mother’s valor and wall coverings have earned him a sufficient amount...

Re: WTB beat to heck machete.

Did you ever see the movie Sling Blade ? Carl (played by Billie Bob Thornton) made a pretty effective hand-held-hacking device out of an old lawnmower blade; it didn’t take him a long time either. I have it from good sources that Zombies all over the world quake when they are threatened with mower b...

Re: Last Chance Tactical/Carry Depot

Just to be clear this is not a Tactifun event it is Jerry’s Last Chance Tactical Shooting event. I along with a dozen or so others were volunteers at all three of last years events. It was great fun and I would love to see it run again this year. I think the issue is revenue more than manpower. Jerr...

Re: another paper

The shooting at Northern Illinois University was over in 90 seconds. The campus police responded within a minute and a half. As soon as the shooter saw the police, he shot himself.

Re: Group Therapy, the PC version.

macphisto: Are you suggesting that if I knew you I would be comfortable with you posting a photograph of yourself aiming an “evil black gun” at the camera; the perception being that you are pointing a gun at the viewer(s)? No, I don’t know you, but I do know a blatant firearm safety infraction when ...

Re: Group Therapy, the PC version.

I suspect that I am one of the few that did view the 4th photograph in the original post, that did in fact, clearly depict a blatant violation of firearm safety and the absence of basic common sense. The actions of one individual opened the door for some serious criticism from those that do not cond...

Re: ALEXANDRIA AREA THIS SATURDAY (21ST)

Hi Jerry, I really enjoyed the May 25th Tacti-fun shoot, and was—of course, disappointed that there may not be another. Ambush Alley was a hoot! I could have done that all day. The dueling tree was a challenge, and, loads of fun. I will be there, with more ammo and cash (I was short of both, but I w...

Re: IT can happen to anyone....

Safety First! No live ammo in the classroom! I have been in LE training classrooms where everyone had to prove that they did not have live ammo. All bags were opened and pockets checked. After being frisked a long piece of blue tape was placed on the front of our shirts for all to see. I am curious ...
