Re: I finally met one.

Gotta love a state (AZ) where I can ride my wheeler down a paved road with my .45 on my hip and the sheriff just smiles and waves as I go by.

Re: Gravel Pits north of Duluth?

Run up to the Marshall Trail or Brimson Road. Lots of clear-cuts there from past logging.

Re: Smith & Wesson are Clowns

What was the context of the parts you were selling and what did they specifically say to you? Was the message directly from Glock or was it from a Glock rep? It was 10+ years ago. I don't remember. I posted a few auctions for some after market parts I had bought for I gun I sold off and I immediate...

Re: Fridley Target Accidental Discharge

Fox 9 just reported the guy was this Seth Millner mentioned above. Picked him up driving a stolen car, drugs, etc. Apparently he admitted it was his gun that went off. Winners!

Re: Smith & Wesson are Clowns

Glock, Sig Sauer, Springfield and other gun companies like Remington don't go after gunsmiths or custom parts companies for selling components or advertising custom guns. S&W may have the legal right, but they're in the minority of companies that do. They combat the liability by invalidating wa...

Re: Fridley Target Accidental Discharge

Oh, come on! Which one of us was it? Look at that smile on his face in the pic. He's thinking, "Crap. The guys on MNGunTalk are gonna give me $h!t for this one!" But seriously, Fridley has long been a waypoint for drug running through the cities. He supposedly was buying some snacks and sa...

Re: Help me fill in the pieces

You could be right about the ammo. Who knows? That's why I hate media reports concerning guns. No one ever takes the extra steps necessary to get the details right. That's why I was really surprised when one report said the gun involved was a silver 6" Ruger New Vaquero in .357. My jaw dropped ...

Re: another Colorado shooter

Anyone notice how a kid got stabbed by another kid outside of Tartan High School the very same day and it hardly made the news? The media got what they wanted, a school shooter in Colorado on or near the Newtown anniversary and nothing else mattered. Not even school violence in their own backyard. h...

Re: Help me fill in the pieces

I finally made it down to the basement the other day and pulled my New Vaquero .357 out. I tried a 9 mm round and it fit about 1/3 of the way into the cylinder. I wasn't about to cram it in there with my thumb but it kind of felt like it might go in with some good force. Then again, in inspection of...

Help me fill in the pieces

Ok. This has been bothering me for some time so I'm going to throw it to the experts. If you are familiar with this recent news story: http://www.twincities.com/crime/ci_24645154/maplewood-man-held-after-police-chase-is-charged?IADID=Search-www.twincities.com-www.twincities.com The suspect supposedl...

Re: What'd you take deer hunting this year?

Sako 85 Finnlight in .30-06. Leopold VX3 3.5-10x50 scope. Hornady Superformance 180 gn SST bullets. I took an 8 pt buck at about 50 yds opening weekend near Little Falls, a doe at about 60 yds 2nd weekend north of Duluth, and 2 does at 250+ yds for the WI opener. A buddy of mine offered to buy my ri...

Re: Water Bottles

I buy 32 oz. Gatorade bottles at the gas station. I drink one right away to use as a pee bottle and keep a full one in the pack for sippin'. Only issue I ran into this year was 33 oz. of pee and only 32 oz. of empty bottle. Got a little dicey. As a side story, the deer I shot 2nd weekend this year h...
