Re: USPSA New Shooter Orientation - April 20th - Pine Island

I just received word from the Match Director for the 3/30 Winter Storm Shoot, that the match is cancelled :( Too much mud with all the late construction, we would be getting folks stuck and damaging too much new soil. The new shooter orientation is a go on April 20, I just know some were talking abo...

Re: USPSA New Shooter Orientation - April 20th - Pine Island

Is the Winter Storm Shoot on 3/30 new shooter friendly? I'm game for some orientation but would love to start sooner if possible. Depends on what you mean by new shooter friendly. The people are most always new shooter friendly (if you find one who is not, let me know privately). We ask all new sho...

Which would be very difficult unless he had access to the evidence locker in Newtown. :o

Re: WTB: Plastic ammo cans

I have some large plastic ammo/tool boxes I obtained from Northern Tool and a couple Planos from Fleetfarm. They are well made and seem to seal well when static. BUT, be aware that the lids will flex when lifted by the handle if they are loaded up with ammo and the seal is likely broken at that poin...

Re: Pistol Racks for Safe

Thanks for the ideas so far. mbree if it isn't too much trouble, could you post a pic of the completed rack? Thanks. I will try to post a pic tonight. I used a number of these Gun Storage Solution hangers after I filled my available shelf space with the wood racks. The wood racks are all the way in...

Re: Pistol Racks for Safe

Do you have a jig saw? That and some 1x3" makes for a cheap and simple rack. Simply cut some large 'grooves' (V shaped or U shaped, your choice) at the spacing you would like. Use a few of the cut out pieces to be legs (two on one side, one on the other) to get the board to stand on edge with t...

Re: WTB: Trigger Group for Winchester Model 12

It is a Y series from late 73, and my wife's grandfather had it converted to a release trigger for shooting trap. She is interested in getting it into a usable condition again, but is not comfortable with the release trigger. So, I guess I would prefer the redesigned group with the proper disconnect...

WTB: Trigger Group for Winchester Model 12

I am looking for a full trigger group (I have seen it referred to as a trigger guard group as well) for a Winchester Model 12. Please drop me a PM if you have one you would be willing to part with or know of a source.

Re: Calling all Glock Armorers

Thanks, ill check out the Dawsons. How is POA vs. POI? With my G17 and my reloads, it hits where the dot is, which is nice for the gun games and I like it for personal defense as well. For target/bullseye shooting, I like the 'pumpkin on a fence post' 6 o'clock hold. Glocks are not my bullseye guns...

Re: Calling all Glock Armorers

I really like my Warren Tactical sights. However, I have both the WT fiber optic sight and a Dawson Precision FO and I like the Dawson better. The Dawson is a bit longer, pulling in more light, and for USPSA, it comes in a bit narrower, which means a little faster. I use the Warren Tactical rear on ...
