Re: Metro area quality duracoating.

So are your duracoat and cerecoat prices the same? Does that include the disassembly and reassembly? I have been wanting to get my Sig P6 refinished but really didn't want to have to ship it out to another state. No the prices differ. I usually don't do duracoat as the cerakote is so much more dura...

Re: Billet Lower Receivers

The ones I've run would error out if you ran them over 15 based on the load calcs. I'm not a big haas fan. Not that they're bad, but I'm just not that impressed by them. I'd love to get a DMG 5 axis, but I'm never going to be machining full time ever again due to my neck being messed up, so it'll n...

Re: Billet Lower Receivers

It all comes down to quantity.

And hey, the VF-2 is a great LITTLE machine, and give it some credit. It's got a 30hp spindle!

Well a good billet receiver is always T6 7075.

Re: Billet Lower Receivers

Uh, just my 3.6 gpa on the AAS in CNC machining I have. ;) Right, you've been tinkering a long time... I own a full machine shop. Someone pulled the wool on you. only a 3.6? Oh great, come program and operate a haas vf-2 for me and produce billet ar receivers we can retail for $70 usd. I'll ...

Re: Billet Lower Receivers

Not the roll marks/engraving - the actual outside shape. Forgings are stronger, but limited to the shape of the dies. "Billet" recievers are made out of bar stock, and are cheaper to produce. Keep in mind, the AR is designed to be used as a club and spear with the bayonet affixed. It will...

Re: Metro area quality duracoating.

Sounds familiar.

This is done with cerakote, and NOT an easy job on this pistol. Definitely don't suggest duracoat on this application.

Call, email, or message me here for pricing. :)
