When I was asked, my simple response was "Of Course! Doesn't every caring and responsible parent?"

.38 Cylinder problem

Hoping someone here can advise me on a problem with a Colt Diamondback .38. About half the time, the cylinder won't advance when shooting. Is this something I can fix myself? I've been shooting for years, but haven't really done much gun repair. Thanks.

Re: Home Made gunsafe

Strad, I like the way you think. By the way, I saw you were looking for some tools. PM me with a list. Recently put my folks in a nursing home, and my Dad had a bunch of stuff I need to get rid of.

Re: Home Made gunsafe

Knew a fella who gutted out an old refrigerator and put rifle racks and a dehumidifier in it. He then installed a hasp and lock on the outside and just set it in the garage. Folks think its plugged in and locked to keep his beer cold and safe.

Re: Another child lost

Thanks. Kevin was 38. (Yeah I'm an old guy). He fought MS since 1993, and finally went to sleep and stayed that way.
A big part of me is grateful that he's not suffering anymore. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Re: Another child lost

I just wanted to say +1 to Vlad and others like him. We just lost our son on June 14th. There is no pain quite like it regardless of cause. I also will pray for these folks.

Re: Survey For Our Troops

Oh sure. I try to be Chicken Little and say the sky is falling, and you guys poo-poo it. See if I go and get unnecessarily hysterical again.

Re: M1 Garand Value?

Sold the gun for $800. Now what to do with the money? A Kimber .45 sounds appealing.

Re: M1 Garand Value?

Thank you, folks. I'm thinking abbout selling it because at 57 years old, the Garand can shoot farther than I can see. I have an M1 Carbine and a Marlin Camp carbine that I'm much more comfortable with.

M1 Garand Value?

Unfortunately, due to an illness in the family I don't usually have the opportunity to post here. But I do have a question I'd like to ask. A friend recently called me to look at an M1 Garand he was given by his Uncle in the seventies. I thought it was beautiful, and said so. This friend doesn't hun...
