Lumpy wrote:Ed! We were wondering when we'd last heard from you at the 98 Lbs lunch yesterday. Looking forward to breakfast.

It’s been a while since I have been able to get there.
Just a series of Wednesday schedule conflicts.
See you Saturday.

Re: MN Supreme Court Rules on Serial Numbers

So true.
I wonder if the state’s behavior reaches the point where civil damages are to be considered.

Vagle that MN statutes only require a serial number on a firearm when the firearm must have a serial number under federal law. This case will have broad...

Re: holsters for pistols with mounted accessories

Any pistol with anything mounted under the barrel/slide is going to present a problem for holsters meant to accommodate the pistol in standard configuration. What's the solution? Unless there is a production model of what you want, you’re looking at custom work. Perhaps check out this local guy: ht...

Re: 10mm buldge issue

I don’t know if you can resize them as loaded, but it would seem unless you strike the primer, there is no hazard of ignition.
When I have loaded something I don’t like, I use a kinetic pulling hammer, and start over.
My greatest concern would be what went wrong…insufficient lube?…..dirty brass?

Re: Sheriff calls for metal detectors at State Capitol

What's the point of metal detectors when carry remains legal? Perhaps it makes sense to one who conflates Capitol building security with two legislators getting shot in their homes. Or maybe photos of metal detectors will show up in his campaign literature when whatever position he’s running for is...

Re: NFA Tax Repeal Advances in “One Big Beautiful Bill”

As I now understand it, the Senate could have ignored the parliamentarian’s ruling. The Republicans could replace her, as well. I suppose we still have a chance to get something accomplished, if the House stands firm, and forces the Senate to pass the original House bill. But quite a few in Washingt...

Re: We Answer Your Questions About Gutting The NFA

And then there's the ‘Once a Rifle, Always a Rifle’ Doctrine: Converting a pistol to a rifle is legal, going back from a rifle to a pistol would not be. From what I’ve understood, if it started life as a rifle, then it can’t be converted to a pistol, but if it starts life as a pistol, it can be mad...

Re: We Answer Your Questions About Gutting The NFA

Some time back I posted about considering going NFA to replace the arm brace on my Springfield Saint Victor with a stock. If this goes through I'll do it. The upside to an SBR would be a better stock, BUT As state law exists, you can carry an arm-braced pistol AR... as a pistol. Even though the tra...
