It is not any different than if they repaired it and sent it back, legally.

Is the frame also a newer one? When newer barrels are installed on older frames this can happen.

The first thing I did with mine was take some 300 grit emery to the stipling. It is way too aggressive, IMO.

Seriously, I love the 45 ACP but carry a CW45. I just can't do a Glock.

I had a 1911 slide ceracoted a few years back and I can say it is some tough stuff. The real beauty is that is that they were able to make chicken salad out of chicken s#!t. That slide was rough. I highly recommend.
