I've been hunting whitetail with a Dan Wesson .44 mag for 18yrs and have taken deer all the way out to 125yrds. Although most are shot within 50 yrds. 240 grain hornady xtp have worked great. Practice practice and more practice. Red dot sight sure helps as well.
