Anyone 9mm Snubby Carry?

Anyone here carry a 9mm snubby? If I understand correctly, you have to have moonclips to carry a 9mm -except- for the S&W (547?) that is no longer made - Right? Just wondering if anyone uses a 9mm snubby revolver for carry & how they like it? I've seen Taurus makes a 905 9mm. It doesn't seem...

Re: Your favorite BUG

To clarify the question: Are you refering to carrying a second, smaller gun as a "Back Up Gun" in addition to a primary gun or are you asking what single small gun, that do you carry? I never can remember carrying two guns, a primary and a back-up. "Primary" would be a Kimber 4&...

Thanks,

Where do you look when you want a deal?

Hi All, I'm wondering where you look when you're looking for a good deal on a used handgun (other than here of course). My best spot is elitedealseeker .... it monitors many of the top classifieds on the internet every 15 min. and is searchable .... if you're looking for something specific, I'd reco...

Why Mumbai India ... one opinion

[Mod's; I don't think this breaks any rules but feel free to delete this if it does] After hearing about what happened in Mumbai, I got an email from a well known gun instruction site. Usually, I'd read this and figure it wasn't as bad as they said, however, I discussed this with one of my coworkers...

Conversions from 357/40 to 9mm

I talked to a guy at a gunshow who sold Firedragon barrels. He sold some that were a conversion for Sig, Glock, & others from 40/357 to 9mm. Furthermore, he gave a 14 day warranty on it - you can return it for any reason. Anyone have any experience with Firedragon barrels? I've seen them sold at...

Re: Police Officers & What You're allowed to Carry ...

I (and my guys) can carry what they want, provided they qualify with it and it's 9mm or larger. I carry a 226 in .40, another carries a SW in 9mm. I've also carried a 226 9mm, a CZ75b in .40 and a 2022 in .40. Widge, I was expecting you to say something about carrying XXX but needing more cowbell. ...

Police Officers & What You're allowed to Carry ...

Only curious here .... For most officers, if I understand correctly, there are limited options as to what you can use on duty and carry off duty. I've found that there aren't many weapons that fit my hand well. So, if you're not allowed to carry a weapon that fits your hand well, what do you do? Are...

Custom Knife Set (5 Damascus Knives) *Withdrawn*

**Withdrawn** Hi All, My Dad is a blacksmith and likes to make knives. He's recently made a set that was for sale at Gander in Brainerd & didn't sell right away. He's asked if I knew of anyone who might be interested so I thought I'd post here. This is a set of knives so I won't split it unless ...

shoulder holsters

Anyone have experience using a shoulder holster for carry? I've been looking around and it sounds like if you have the time & $$, it seems almost unanimous that you should get an Alessi Bodyguard. I'm wondering if anyone has experience (good, bad, or ugly) with any given shoulder holster. I'm lo...

Re: 1911's vs. 2011's

Magazine capacity is the major difference. From that magazine change obviously the grip width increases. While some of the internal parts vary slight, mechanically they are the same. I have both and based on their intended use they each have there place. The 2011's are really a product of competiti...
